Pros
– Can switch between 6G stabilized altitude hold or unstabilized acro flight modes at the flick of a switch.
– Up to 300 meter flight control range.
– Available without camera, or with C5000 720p or C6000 1080p 5G WiFi FPV cameras. I flew the 1080p C6000 camera in this video.
– Real time in flight FPV video (C5000 or C6000 versions only) is viewable on your smartphone via the Bugs GO app downloaded for iOS or Android here http://www.mjxrc.net/downshow/bugs-go.html
– Telemetry of altitude, and warnings of range limitation or low battery. Warnings are displayed on your phone and also as beeps on the flight controller.
– Cameras record directly to microSD card inserted into the camera to avoid WiFi Lag and freezing.
– MT 1806 1800KV brushless motors
– 4in1 8A ESC’s
– 7.4V 1800mah battery (same as Bugs 3).
Cons
– 5G 802.11ac WiFi capable phone is needed for reception of FPV video from the C5000 or C6000 cameras. Not all phones are 802.11ac WiFi capable. Verify that your phone is 802.11ac capable before considering purchasing the C5000 or C6000 camera versions. If not, you can still purchase the Bugs 3H without camera (but with camera mount). Simply mount your own GoPro (or GoPro clone) action camera.
– Landing gear is in view of the widescreen camera lens. Camera mount may require some modification to angle the camera lens so that the landing gear would not be in view.
– Battery beeping warning alerted early on the transmitter controller, but the phone app voltage meter still showed half power remaining on the battery. Measured resting voltage after landing was 7.52V (3.76V per cell), suggesting that the app reading was more accurate than the controller’s warning.

The motor just fell of my Bugs 3 on third flight. Mounting screws are too short and are there is no Lock Tite on the screws. Have you ever heard of that happening?

You have to calibrate the sticks to prevent it from climbing.
No Acro on this model. Just regular angle mode . Professional mode just disables the altitude hold and self centering stick.

Just ordered the bugs 3H , looking forward to flying it…..how did you mount your phone to this controller…I have the stand bar from a C5020 camera , but need the piece that it seats to … the angeled piece you have that come out of the middle of the controller

I got a bugs 3 h from my daughter for fathers day. I fly plane and heli, cars, trucks, did lots of research. And picked the bug3h did all the calibrations. And flew in my house great I have a film me flying in house without my gopro, and flew great. Got my friends/family all together and still did the calibration in the road turned on my hero silver4 with a 128 gig sim set back start the motors stick up slow hover 5 foot then took to 25 feet after that I had no transmiter to the bugs3 h and it went full speed straight up and out of sight. Lost it never got to fly it. My daughter writes them. And they tell her he flew it in a tree. I never got to fly! Everything was charged. I have 5 other drones and I have a 3DR iris but wanted something fast. Liked your review of of bugs 3 and wanted attitude hold so other can fly with me. So I don’t have a crashed drone from other hands. #MJX unfair, But I never got to fly it. I think they should make it right. Give me a bugs3H with a good camera and make it fair. I’m going to take a bite out of the business they have. What do you think? I’m a veteran RC hobbies.
Nice review but the Acro part is incorrect. It doesn’t have Acro mode.

the worst drone ive ordered. it flys great in doors, but when i take it out it loses connection mid air every single time. same goes with other pilots.
