Got the S500 Drone frame from China as an upgrade from the X525 frame. From all the DIY frames I have seen this one has the best mounting for peripherals and seems to be somewhat based on the Iris drone from 3DR.

Dude , love the video . I’m doing a similar project myself. Changing my x525 frame gear over to a slightly different version of the s500 . I’m using a version that has led light’s built in the arms . I’m using a apm2.8 flight controller . With gps, osd, and telemetry down link . There was no room for anything else. I fly the skull and cross bones stickers on all my aircraft. I also fly the colors in my rc build shop. Please update with your progress . I’m waiting for parts . Will be a week or so before i can get serious about this project . I’ve been building and flying rc planes since the late 70’s . I can’t believe how far this hobby has come in the past few years. see ya.
