Damn ! I still have to do the maiden of my ZMR250. When I see this, and
think about even only half that speed I’m already sweating ! ;)
Glad to see those engines working well on 5s (I was planning on moving up
to this type of battery). I just tried the engines with 4s and they are
fast. Do you think I need to move up 30A ESC’s for 4s and/or 5s? This was
my first test flight.

1800 Kv set up will smoke this, also my 2208 2100 Kv custom t motors

I speed gunned my quad today and hit 55mph in a straight line – which
looked faster than it was so I was a little disappointed
(LynxMotion Hunter – 4S, 8045s all round, Multistar 2216 800’s)

I’ve been thinking of jumping the gun and going straight to 6s on a similar
set up but worried about burning motors. Thoughts? 5s definitely handled
well but 6s I dunno.
+Amina Chee 5S Lipo, most 12A’s would not like it.
+Tyrone Albertyn Quanum makes very basic sub $100 goggles, I’d suggest checking out used higher-end ones from Fatshark. Ebay etc. They’re from 100-250 depending on the model and if they come with vTX, camera etc.
I’d guess this build was about $400-450 depending on the frame, Vtx, camera etc.

+3000gtwelder how does a 3s 2200 mah 30-40c perform? do you find a big difference when you use the same battery but with a higher c? and is it safe to go higher on the C rating than reccomend?
A high C rating will never hurt, only on weight. I use 3s 2250 mah 30-40C batteries I have left over from my 450 heli I rarely fly anymore, they work out pretty good for just putting around and general flying. I find I get better performance from the higher C higher Mah packs even though they weigh more. IÂ get my best performance from my 2250 A-spec 4s Nanotech and my 1550 Tattu racing 4s.

No problem. I’m still learning a lot my self. Some people like those Graphene Nanotechs also, they have a flat discharge line all the way to the end, then they just drop off quick though, so you really need telemetry or have a timer set well.

It is faster, but I believe a 2000KV offers more torque.

@Nicholas Clarkson Also, the 6s has a higher voltage, so with 2300KV motors, it might spin too fast, although I’m not totally sure.
something a little guy on Flitetest channel said was about the same. so 2300kv running to fast carrying a heavy load (big battery etc) could burn themselves out, which is what happened on the Flitetest vid

Whats funny is this is just two years ago.. and today you can do a 100 dollar 4s build that is much faster then this! a 250-300 dollar 4s build will make this look slow by a long stretch.. and a 2300,2500kv 5s on todays 4 to 6s capable motors is just on a whole different level then this 5s build that was top spec two years ago… Props and motors have came A LONG WAYS in 2 years.. and the batteries to support the massive amp draw of todays super high power motors.. RaceKraft 5051×3’s in my Hyperlite 2533kv’s will pull 48-50 amps static and 155ish that settles down to about 130 amps on full power punchouts that Im on throttle for 2ish seconds and in that amount of time Im well over 500 feet high… and thats on 4s.. I cant wait to see the power levels we are hitting in another 2 years when the batteries are up to the task of putting on 180 to 200 amps!!!!

I’m new at this but how is a 2000kv motor faster than a 2300kv motor or is it not possible to put a 6s on a 2300kv, if kv is revolutions per volt or whatever wouldn’t a 2300 be faster?

Why would you use a 30A ESCs on 250 frame. Isnt 12A enough for a 2300KV motors?
