My Drone Racing Progression – Part 1

I shot this DV-R while doing some drone racing practice runs at #TodaiFPV. Yeah, it’s DV-R. Sorry, this bird doesn’t carry a GoPro. Maybe I’ll have a RunCam Split on here by the time this series is over. But anyway…

What I decided to do is a series of videos to document my progression racing drones. The idea is that by the next video I’ll be faster and perhaps also offer some insight as to how I got there.

I’ve been flying since 2015, but mostly all freestyle. I only started racing recently, let alone over pavement with an underslung battery.

The mini quad:

Pyro-Drones Hyperfloss 5 Inch
Motors: Hyperlite 2205/2522kv
FC: Airbot Omnibus F4
ESC: DYS 4in1 BLHeli_S
VTX: TBS Unify Pro HV Race
Props: DAL Cyclone 5046
Camera: RunCam Swift 2
Lens: 1.8 170 degrees

Dry Weight: 230g
AUW: 380g

The song is: “I Don’t Wanna Believe” by Face to Face.

Follow me on Instagram. I post most of the quick and shorter stuff there:
