On our wide travels filming all things radio controlled at shows and events in the UK and Europe we often come across strange, weird, breathtaking and cool RC stuff. Here is a short compilation of some of those brilliant RC things we came across in 2019. Which is your favourite? Let us know in the comments. Enjoy !
Filmed at the RC shows and events around the UK and Germany by Dom Mitchell for the ‘Essential RC’ YouTube channel with the Panasonic AG-UX180 4K pro camcorder.

That Concorde is truly magnificent and beautifully flown … Wow!
The two Red Arrow Hawks were a nice touch.
That harrier is the mutts Nutts.👍
I would like to put my dachshund in any of the big boys
Does anyone noticed there is a SMILING T Rex at 15:38? 🙂
Does anyone use FPV for car racing? I mean, that seems like it would be an absolutely illegal amount of awesome and fun! LOL
It seems counterintuitive, and obviously, most guys get into RC in the first place because the whole point and fun part of RC is watching whatever you’re operating, at least for the majority I would say. lol So I could see why someone might dislike FPV. And yes, building and modifying, etc. are also huge reasons why some love RC. But outside of “hobby fun weekend bashing,” when you’re competing, you want all the advantages you can get and I think FPV would next level the RC race game.
To me, even just watching videos of RC planes with onboard cameras is beyond cool. lol
I think FPVs would dramatically increase lap times, allow a higher degree of driving “smoothness,” and just simply give the operator a massive boost in driving confidence because they’d be that much more immersed and closer to the road…. right there “behind the wheel.” I feel like it would provide a much more realistic perspective of driving which would allow the RC driver to hit a more efficient “line” and achieve higher braking accuracy.
Even as a “hobby-level RC amateur” I think it’s safe to say that any RC operator’s performance suffers when there’s an increase in distance between them and their machine. It obviously causes a decrease in visual contact, then anxiety increases, and ultimately they slow down and concentrate harder.
Also, we all know control difficulty increases exponentially when the vehicle is “mirrored” heading back towards the operator; left becomes right and right becomes left……although that’s probably more of a rookie problem. lol
I reckon that the Concorde is larger than my full size Sonex, probably cost more as well! Beautifully built and flown regardless.
That TriStar is great but the little Concorde sitting next to it is the real star of the show!
helicoptero que é bom…. nenhum, em ……
