Gimbal Guy here with the Walkera Runner 250 RTF Racing Quad. Speed Test footage via an onboard GoPro Hero 4 camera. First set of speed passes, the Devo 7’s throttle read 85% with the elevator stick slammed in the utmost forward position. Second set of speed passed the Devo 7’s throttle read 90% with the Elevator fully slammed again. Stay tuned in for the upcoming Walkera & Custom Blade 200Qx Face-Off. Those motors are screaming like a beast!
Interesting your runner has a lot of wobble even hovering. Mine has none
footage looks great, I have the Gopro 4 black but am using a Mobius wide
angle lens version
+Dallas Discount Drones LOL that’s funny, so I should expect the same
visual results… I thought it would be pretty stable or at least more stable
then a Hero??
+Raptor50aus dude it’s a GoPro mounted to a racing quad with a zip tie my
mobius does this too actually.
+Raptor50aus My Blade qx has the same effect on footage with the GoPro
attached & making aggressive maneuvers and applying full elevator up during
flights. ( I know there is noooo wobble in my Qx lol), and that wobble
isn’t in the fpv goggles when I am flying the Runner, so I know it’s def no
the Runner250 or I woulda (1st tried to tune it, or fix the issue) packed
it up and shipped it back to China. The GoPro is not great for racing
quads, for that reason, no aerodynamics at all so it will tend to wobble
only being mounted by a zip tie even in a hover the quad it’s vibrating
constantly, and with the go pro having one zip tie and the edges exceeding
the zip tie on top of 4 rubber mounts, well its gonna wobble it’s just
physics ( watch the landings after the quad is on the ground, that’s all
shake & vibration from the rubber shock mounts seconds after the landing
so.…) Also making high speed passes directly into the wind while the camera
is mounted at a 85 degree angle, doesn’t help at all LOL. Once the Mobius
arrives there will be a world of difference in the footage off the same
exact mount. Thanks for watching.
