Blade 350 QX at EXTREME high altitude in stability mode with GoPro Hero 3 Black. This is my second high altitude flight posted and it is probably about as high as you can go with the stock battery to be able to return safely.

Receiver still had full control and I was full back on the throttle for the
descent to get it down quickly. As for the altitude reached, I’m not sure
but it was climbing for 1 1/2 minutes longer than the previous high
altitude video I posted. In the other video I was already above some
clouds. This one was taken on a perfectly clear day.
You my friend are crazy I love it. Did it hold gps the whole time? Straight

Yes, it held gps within a few feet.

Did you hold it full throttle all the way up?I’ve done the high altitude a
few times & on my last one when I landed I noticed a burnt smell coming
from the quad.I opened her up & found that the solder to one of those
little black square things in the middle had melted & shifted a little on
the main control board.She was still flying fine,the only thing that it was
doing is not shutting off.I’ve contacted HH regarding this & I’m still
waiting on an answer.So be careful,I was lucky to get it back.

Jolly Logic Altimeterone = $50 on Amazon get one then brag about how high
It made it down safely. I used the stock 3S 11.1V 2200 mAh battery.

With an estimated ascent rate of 3m/sec in stability mode I would think the
altitude reached was more likely in the 2000′-2700′ range.
An expert on a forum said ” this quad has LOW range due to tiny 1 inch long
antena” he went on to say ” this toy grade quad is good for 100feet range
max”

Dude, I have the 350QX and I’ve flown pretty high but no where near what
you’ve done here. How in the world did you manage to see it? Did you have a
spotter with binoculars or something? Or was it out of visual sight for a
time?
What if the radio losses its connection with the quad?
Did you use RH or did you throttle down
Have you changed stock props prior ?
How high would you say you went
Want to make sure I can go that high with my blade qx3 stock
This alone makes me want to get one.
