Confused about how to connect the Flysky FS-iA6B receiver to your Eachine Wizard X220? In this video, I’ll walk you through the entire process! The Wizard X220 (I bought mine in 2017) uses the Seriously Pro Racing F3 (SPracingF3) flight controller (FC), so this guide will also apply to other quadcopters using the same FC. I am using the Flysky i6X transmitter.

Hey Adam, I’m having an issue with transmitter inputs not showing up in cleanflight. I have re-binded several times, and it does indeed bind just fine. Transmitter menu shows that sticks are working but absolutely nothing happens in cleanflight. Wizard x220, my first real quad, and I can’t find any troubleshooting info other than what you explain in this video. Any help/tips would be awesome, thanks
Hi! Assuming you followed all the steps in the video, try using a different version of cleanflight firmware. That seems to fix odd issues often.
@RCwithAdam I’ll definitely try that. Thank you for the fast response and the countless videos you posts
Why selecting PPM RX on betaflight not serial based receiver?
Hi! It’s because in this vid I’m showing how to set up using PPM only, rather than ibus, and all the rx settings need to match up with PPM.
Awesome! Thank you!
how to conect to Tyro 99 f4 controller
I wish you had actually shown how to bind the FS-iA6B to the controller instead of describing it. I feel you jumped over the very thing I needed to see.
thanks 4 the video but I don’t have “output mode” on my I6!
How can I get that setting? Which kind of firmware do you have on your transmitter?
Same. But thanks
Hi! 1. connect bind plug to rx.
2. power on rx (connect battery) (rx should blink)
3. with your tx on the model profile you want to use, and the OUTPUT MODE set to match that of the rx, hold down the “bind” button while switching on the power (the switches need to be in the up position and throttle down).
4. tx should beep and probably show the rx and voltage on the screen.
5. binding complete
Does anybody already tested the XR602T receiver? I can’t find anything about it!
I have same older Fly sky FS-I6 (without X) and its even more simple.
System>RX Setup>PPM output, (Reciever PPM output) turn it on with UP button, longtap cancel to save it, and here you go.
Reciever-drone connection cable method is same as shown in video.
Hello
This is a very great video!
My question is can I use any 3 pin cables for PPM connection?
like these:
I have one more question. I would like just to make sure that my flight controller is going to work with the FS-iA6B receiver.
My flight controller:
Thank you for the help!
I did everything in this video. The transmitter connects but the quad doesn’t arm, and in the receiver tab the grids are all white. I set modes like to arm and horizon mode and angle but the receiver still doesn’t talk to the quad.
can i use it for Octocopter?
Having the same problem. I had this problem when i first started and did all my researching and finally fixed it! Got it flying. But my video transmitter broke so i got a new one. And some reason it stopped working. Tried everything. I mean EVERYTHING to try and solve this. About to give up honestly
Fixed it. Switched plugs to the other side of the board
I have a question. Can I use the fsia6 receiver or do I need to get the fsia6b? Because the 1st one I mentioned does not say ppm on the ch1plug.
Where can I buy just that plug ? Looking to install this receiver with my custom drone build
The bind plug? I’m not sure, but you can easily improvise your own. All it really does is connect the signal pin to the ground (negative) pin.
2:21 where can I buy that cable
This looks like the right one .
how do I put more than one model on it? just make it model 2
Yep!
My Drone is doing nothing, but it’s Connected to my Controller
Hi! What kind/model of drone is it?
@RCwithAdam it’s a self buildet one, so idk. And it’s flashing all the time
Hi, thanks for the video, I have this tyro 109 just finished setup, and I’ve got an issue if you can help please,
I’ve got the flysky Nirvana nv14 installed with the x8b receiver, binding works fine,
I’ve set the betaflight configurator to ibus, and can’t control the drone, I’ve connected the receiver plug directly to the flight control, and soldered bridge ibus right side on MATEKF405, can you help please? thank you
Hi! Sorry for the late reply! I’m not familiar with that setup, but if you email me a clear picture of it, I’ll do my best to help! RCwithadam “at” gmail “dot” com.
Wait….does the receiver then mount to the quad? Where??? It seems to big..
It is pretty big, and it’s not ideal for a quad. But It could go on the top, or be crammed inside. I would use zipties or doubesided foam tape or electrical tape to secure it.
@RCwithAdam perfect thank you❤
Great video thanks for chare ✌️???
Works for x220s as well right?
Hi! I think so. But I don’t have one to test for sure.
Since you have to keep it plugged in all the time, how do you mount it on the quad
why have stupidy and use ppm, becuse if you transmitter support i-bus better use i-bus because have latency lot fasten, i.bus have about 4 usec and old slowly ppm have 20-24usec wey slow. dont ewer use ppm if transmitter and recei9ver subbort i-bus. why use rock axe at pre history if can use chain saw today
So I set my quadcopter up, and everything works fine in the software. When I push the throttle on the transmitter you can see in the software the right channel going up. But the motors don’t respond to my transmitter… and they work while I test them with the software. pls help?
Hi! Do you have your arming switch set up?
That’s what I want to know
Same method with the x220s?
I unscrewed the top plate and used Velcro to attach it on the inside it took forever to set up
mr. vain vice if you have any questions ask me because I finished setting mine up
@Gammax thnx I ordered the same receiver did u have any failsafe with it???
@mr. vain vice i dont think so you have to program it using betaflight i think
Yea u should be able to
does the receiver stay in the drone or do you just plug it out (9:10)
does the receiver stay in the drone or do you just plug it out (9:10)
Hi! Yes, it stays in the drone.
can you bind this to a jumper t16?
I haven’t tried, but I’m pretty sure.
on the spracing f3 board, you can plug that same connector into the back of the flight controller instead of the front, and then ibus servo connector on the reciever, reconfigure in betaflight for serial communication then ibus, and it will result in lower latency, and 14 channels. all with the exact same hardware 🙂 happy flying!
Do you have to keep that receiver on their?
Do you have to keep that receiver on their?
Hello, may I raise a question… I have an opportunity to setup a quad which board is supporting SBUS / PPM / DSMX. I have a Turnigy 9x V2 radio (2011 model) which is good for airplanes but not sure that will suit for quads as it is not supporting s-bus/i-bus. Can I somehow use Turnigy receiver for such type of quads like Eachine Wizzard and so..? Thanks
Hi! You sure can! (I think. I haven’t tried with that radio before). A lot of turnigy stuff is the same as FlySky (just rebranded). This video might help .
Hi! Yes, the receiver stays connected to the flight controller at all times.
@RCwithAdam Thanks for Your feedback. Looks like I have to use a PPM/SBus encoder as my receiver is not supporting that (as it is using the older, AFHDS protocol)
Would this work with tyro99 as well?
It should work just fine!
How do we know which wire is a wire that can transmit data and electricity but not just electricity
Thank you brother thanks ??
Glad it helped!
By the way i have question, what versión of betaflight is compatible for this model F3 controller?
Don’t use PPM. This receiver has IBUS output. Use that, and connect to UART2 of the FC.
can you set osd rssi on that?
Hi! On the SPracingf3? Nope.
where does the receiver fits actually
where does the receiver fits actually

where does the receiver fits actually
yes, banggood sales a flysky compatible mini reveiver=really small !!! good for tight places ($15)
@RCwithAdam why didnt you just finish the build lol . leave reicer inside! & you get alot more thumbs up than downs.. if you sing more that song.. a whole new World! :>)
i bought other parts for my drone and wanted to install the receiver now but then i opened the package of my controller and there was no cable to connect it to the flight controller and there is none in the other parts i bought where can i buy this cable i cant find the name of it
And i have the mamba stack i think it has no plug on it
What if i dont have that cable connector in my fc? Do i need to sold it?
Flysky i6 does not have output mode options.
Yes, you would need to solder it in place.
I dont have “output mode” on my controller
