also the term ultralight is not a reference to any brand just meaning very light not heavy quads.

hey you 5 people who gave me a thumbs up when I only had 7 views. THANKS you rock
This stupid rule of 250g. 3″ with that weight would be alot better. I love heavy 5″ on 6s with low kv don’t even feel the weight and flys better than anything ?
Be careful called GT old. His new nickname could be Daddy ?
Its a racer drone. Very similar to those HGLRC wind drones
Not a big fan of ultralight quads. I have a couple, and they can be fun to fly occasionally… But more often than not, I’ll reach for my chonky birds. They just handle much better.
Good to see you guys outside again!
The main reason? Beurocrats and drone registration.
I built a 145g 5″ with AIO 35A BLheli32, 2303 3450kv motors, 4S, same Gemfan 5125 props on PickleBig frame, for when I want to “pinpong” it. I have a Marmotte 5″ on 2306 and 6S for when I want to “baseball” it. Love flying them both.
Just looks like it needs some costum rates or 4″ quad bladed props. But for the price… that thing should be RTF! For anyone…
I fly light n heavy ,but light stuff such as that x knights et5 etc.still fun keep it low through trees you may like it more
Oh,but that price is out of line, shout out from Va. Usa
Great as usual Stu.Still in the classroom with FPV. It’s space age compared to gas propped planes tied to a sting when I was a kid..This is mind blowing.
I have a 5″ build with an auw of 265g using 2203 3450 kv motors and gemfan 5125 props on an fpvcycle powerpick frame and 1100 mah 3s packs. I love how it flies personally, but then I’ve primarily flown micro builds in the 2-3″ size. I can see where if you’re primary experience was flying heavy 5″ this would be tough to adjust to. That’s one of the great aspects of this hobby though, you get to find what you enjoy and fits your own style.
In the end I decided to go with 4″ Gemfan 4023 triblades and an 850 mah 4s pack and have been liking the build even more. That seems to be the sweet spot for these ultra light setups.
Betteridge’s law of headlines
“Grumpy Trev” hence forth shall now and forever be known as “Old Man Graveyard” Who seconds said aforementioned motion?
A lot of talk about how good/bad it is as a super light racer yet no testing to back those claims up either way. You guys took it out and used it as a park flyer. Would be nice to see it reviewed in more of it’s intended setting.
“high-purr-bo-lee” hyperbole. ??
Hey Stu great video i agree with every word you said when it comes to light vs heavy kwads. Idk what kind of camera you film with but you should look into one of those diety duo mics for it so we can hear you better when you’re round the back of the camera. Cheers mate
