In this video I discuss the possibility of selling my Yamaha R1 for a Ducati Panigale V4 or V4s. If you are new to the channel, I currently own a 2014 Yamaha R1, 2011 Harley Davidson V-Rod Muscle, and a 2019 Husqvarna 701 Supermoto. I love all of my bikes as they each serve a different purpose. However, if I were to add a Ducati Panigale V4 to the fleet it would serve the same purpose as my Yamaha R1. Therefore the question is–do I sell the Yamaha R1 when I purchase the Ducati Panigale V4 or do I keep both and make the Yamaha R1 a track bike. I love my Yamaha R1…it was my dream bike for awhile and I would never want to neglect that bike.

From what I’ve been seeing with the likes of 650ib, DudeMungus, 5up they love them Ducatis, hard not 2, it’s gorgeous and aggressive from every angle. Ive actually been hearing that the reliability has improved but I totally get it.. And as having multiple bikes, bro I’m trying to get to that level. That’s awesome that your able to choose what you want to ride. I’d say keep the R1, lots of good memories plus it looks like a corner stone 9f your garage. Don’t get the Ducati man.
I had a Ducati Diavel and my Son has a Ducati 959 panigale and these bikes run super hot .
My son got blisters on his inner thigh from the extreme heat .
The desmo service is really expensive also.
My son and my boy who has a V4 have to constantly bleed the line on the clutch because theres a problem with clutch Slave cylinder.
They are beautiful bikes sound and ride amazing but they have there share of problems.
My cousin has a 2019 V4 and it shut off on him on the highway last may and it’s still the shop and Ducati can’t find the problem .
He has since got a lawyer .
I have a 2020 ZX10R and can’t be happier, we are trading in the 959 for a 2021 CBR1000RR.
If you have money to burn then get the Ducati if you want something reliable and low maintenance get a Japanese bike just my opinion.
If you sell your reliable and Old Faithful R1 for a unreliable and very expensive to maintenance bike, your bugging, unless you just happen to have money to burn, go for it, but it’s Ninjas and R1s for me all day in America
Don’t do it. I promise you. I love Ducati, motogp, bike was my dream bike, but now I regret leaving my r1. I still love Ducati, but not the bike. Weird I know
