Ok so this wasn’t the actual maiden… but the maiden only lasted 3mins before the canopy fell off (my own fault for not securing it properly). I’ll show the footage from this in a build overview video coming up a bit later. This re-maiden went pretty well, but there was some vibration present even after the prop being well balanced so I need to determine the cause of this. It’s a fun plane to fly with the feeling of being in the cockpit and the heat tracking really adds a lot to the experience. I’ve now setup multiple OSD layouts which are switchable in flight and you’ll notice in these clips it’s quite ‘busy’ as it’s my tuning OSD. This @AndyRC video using head tracker and pan/tilt cameras may give you some ideas if choose to attempt formation flights. Details of setup covered in an earlier video. It’s great to see what is possible. Spitfire and this are two of my favourite videos so far in 2021. The pure joy of flight.
