A long range high speed demo flight of my Whirlwind. Maybe I’m doing something wrong? Anyways, flew it pretty much full pitch for most of this flight to see how long the battery would last with power demand. The answer, almost 5 minutes.

either. Check out his video.
you have to get into menu and set gyro to 40% then you can access acro mode
. the factory for some reason doesn’t have it activated . check out Dustin
dunhill video also fullmetalheli has a great video about raising (TCURVE
)throttle to turn this quadcopter into a beast !

what is the maximum dron speed?
I am losing altitude and crashing on my bank turns with my x251. Don’t know if I’m not giving enough throttle into the turn or too much yaw and it dives into the ground. Or do I need to adjust some setting on the transmitter?
Hi, does anyone know what is causing my battery problem , about a week ago I got the XKx251 plug the battery in the quad just to test it all good then I put the battery on charge after it had charged I put the battery back in the quad and it started to crackle and there was a burning smell, i took out the battery and noticed that where there were 3 pins before in the battery bay of the quad whereas before there were 3 pins, so I found a part to replace the broken charge port , then put the battery back in the same thing happened , 3 more times ,so now the 4 time after a lot of pain taking it all apart and soldering the new balance port I went out for a flight with it all great ,then today I tried to charge the battery but the red charging light just blinks permanently , instead of a steady red light, then when fully charged the red light would go off just to leave to green light, now when I wiggle the battery port on the charger the red lights stop blinking for a few seconds then go back to red flashing again , now I’m too scared to put the battery back in the quad in case it burns one of the pins again, I have ordered a new battery from gear best, so my ? is do you think the battery is at fault or maybe the charger that came with the x251, what is causing it to fry the pins, I would be very grateful if anyone knows the answer, I desperately need some advice.regards Nige
Can you tell which direction it’s facing when you fliy it so far away and so fast, or do you just keep it moving so you have the feel for it? Like if you stopped dead way out there, then started again from a random orientation, could you tell if it’s coming towards you or away?

Is yours the v2 Quad101, is that why it wouldn’t acro? I got one a month ago, and killed the throttle hold instead of expert mode one day! Got my new one today and both are v1 full acro. Now I have a complete set of spare parts for the new one, less the ESC board. Absolute missile, and haven’t even done the controller tweaks yet!
This i do like but what would Fpv setup cost to put on that lil baby?
good demo. a couple changes to the v2, but overall still a speedy beginner quad. we tried to highlight some of the changes on episode 146 on our channel.
there’s something you have to do in the TX to get it into 3d mode. check out full metal heli he has a video showing how to do all that programming in the TX.
all I been hearing how this thing is fast, durable, flies great and great price. I am so glad I ordered mine. Now I Just have to be patient till mine comes.
hi, just got mine and its the 1st brushless ive owned, as you can imagine i was exited to get it in the air, all was going well until the ccw prop nut shot of never to be found, no spares seem to be available so grounded, think its a 4mm shaft, any ideas on replacement?

Hey Q 101 Full Metal Heli showed how to properly set up the controller. He also showed how to activate Acro Mode(3D Mode). Here is his video just skip to about 6:00.
I seen something else about this, try pressing that red button with those switches down to get your acrobatic mode.
On the not going into acro mode thing, Dustin Dunhill had exactly the same problem with his and it was the fault of the TX. He had to get a replacement:

I am new to the quadcopter world. I bought a Syma X8C a couple of months ago as my first one. I have crashed it many times learning to fly. replaced shells,landing gear,props,even a couple of boards from water landings. I have since gotten pretty good at flying. I can hover,land,and generally fly around in my part of the world. (I am out in the country with fields all around me and a couple of houses) I have watched many of your vids. I am looking to buy a new quad and have around $300.00 to spend. My flying is for fun and videos of the area for fun. I would like something that is very durable,comes with controller and a camera. I would prefer to buy in the U.S. but not hell bent on it. Can you point me to some items to consider?
you should be able to set a percentage for throttle hold so when engaged it will hold the throttle percentage to make Stunts easier.
I’ll quote DutchRC…
“Solution for the absent acro mode:
1. Power on transmitter
2. Set “G.S/Gear” switch to down position
3. Press and hold the “mode” button till the numbers “123456” start flashing on the display
4. Rotate the rotary dial on the right in clockwise direction to the position where the word “gyro” will be flashing on the display
5. Press the rotary dial, and a number will start flashing below the word “gyro”.
6. Rotate the rotary dial so that the number is 25 (to check if the 6G mode is still available, flick the “G.S/Gear” switch up, and see if the number changes to 75
7. Press the “back” button one time, and then one more time, to leave settings menu?”

As another person commented, XK has some issues in some of these birds. Send it back for replacement!

I was going to tell you to check Dustin’s or DutchRC reviews, but see someone has already done that. Actually, Dustin’s 1st X251 would not go into Acro mode, so he got a 2nd one .. which did. He then tried to bind the original to the new TX, but it still didn’t go into Acro (there’s a bind button on the bottom of the X251). Well, if you get it to work, we will expect another video “strutting its stuff”. How about giving some of that desert brush a “haircut” ??? Cheers.
Sometimes with the x-50 won’t let you in acrobatic mode so you may need a different one
Any better Drones than the dpi phantom 4 for around 1500 $ ?
