Blade should take a design cue from Heli-max.
Did you guys conduct any payload tests? I am looking at mounting a Mobius
camera on it.
We didn’t, but it looks like the Mobius weighs almost the same as the cam
that comes with it, though it is a bit heavier. They way it flies feels
like it could handle a bit of weight, and as long as you took off the
original cam, or bought the one without it, I’m sure you could find a way
to mount the Mobius you have. There have been a lot of questions about the
Mobius, so it looks like we’re going to have to pick one up soon to help
confirm these questions for everyone. Hope that helps a bit Caleb, and
thanks for watching!
This was helpful, thanks!
Very glad to hear it WOR! Thanks for watching!
Unless it’s an actual egg I’m supposed to look for, I am guessing that your
“Easter Egg” is a saying in your world that means some kind of peculiarity
in the video. That said, at 6:22 the Mrs. is no longer in her chair. Please
let me know if I’m right or is an egg what I am looking for. Great review
btw ! Thanks :D
+TheRcSaylors Saweeeet ! It looked pretty good after a couple of attempts
to land on the stump. At first I figured the landing was legit. Thanks for
that 2nd hint. I enjoyed watching it over and over to find it and I know
I’ll be watching you both a lot in the future ! Brian
Wahoo!! You Got It OttawaAccounstics! =^) We had to have a little fun in
our video, and with so many people seeing it so far, we are surprised noone
has said anything yet. We’ll be sure to give you a shout out in next
weeks’ video (not the one released tomorrow as we have already shot and
edited all of it). Great Job!
+TheRcSaylors Ahaa ! I think I got it this time ! It is at 8:39. That
almost too perfect landing on the tree stump ! Great flying, but…almost
too perfect lol 😀
An “Easter Egg” means some kind of peculiarity in the video. That is a
good guess Ottawa, but you are looking for something almost too perfect
towards the end of the video. Believe it or not, noone has guessed it yet!
We thank you very much for watching!
Just purchased mine 15 mins ago!
That’s great! Let us know when you get it and how your first flight goes!
Can brushless motors be placed in the 230si?
Wassup guys!!! I just subscribed recently like less than a day or couple of
hours…. I just bought a heli max 230si like 3 hours ago! LoL just right
now I’m still trying to set it up over again because the first flight it
was hard to control. Is it me or is the throttle a little bit slow in
response? I got some more comments and questions but I gotta run…keep up
the great work!!! Ttyl
Thanks for the Sub Aries!!! You can adjust that throttle control in a few
ways, but the easiest and quickest is just to change the flight mode. Hope
you get it trimmed up just right, it’s a great little quad!
great video, im def getting one of these !!!! also im so jealous a pretty
lady that knows RC’s !!!! haha. keep up the good work guys !
How would you compare the 230si to the Nine Eagles Galaxy Visitor 3?
Great review video! Keep ’em coming!
Thanks a lot Ed!
Heli Max 230si Review Unboxing and Flight Awesome Quadcopter.
Stick relativity will ruin your flight skills…but if disoriented it’s
nice to have if RTH fails. Looks like a nice little quad, too bad there’s
no Spectrum support as the TX is not my cup of tea and like longer range
flying. But at the price it’s hard to beat. If it holds up, can handle some
wind and the motors don’t burn out trying then this a winner.
Great review and very entertaining. Thanks for all the information. Looks
like a nice quad. Can you give me any imput on the difference. between this
quad and the Nine Eagles Galaxy visitor 3…Maybe $30.00 cheaper. Knowledge
is power.
Bangood has it. Both look the same and same features.. Also look forward to
Flyin Ryan’s review ..Keep up the GREAT VIDS.
We thank you very much for your kind words William! You know, a lot of
people have been asking about the Nine Eagles quad, and I wish I could give
some good information, but we were only lucky enough to get our hands on
this one of the two. I can compare to many other quads we’ve featured on
our channel, but not the Nine Eagles. I know that this one performed
better than I expected though, which says a lot. I would sincerely suggest
this quad to anyone looking to take their hobby to the next level, as a
great RC to buy before something in the 350-400 size. I hope this helps
answer your question a bit, and we’re looking forward to his review too!
is there an upgrade for bigger battery life?
You know, I’m not sure. I’d say no, but they may have one now on the site.
Either way, 15 minute flight time is awesome!!! Especially for the price
as most Quads only stay in the air for 8 to 10 minutes if you’re lucky on a
single charge in this price range. Hope that helps James, thanks for
watching!
Is it a good drone? Can i fly it to high altitude?
is it durable?
the video is good?
Altitude is about as high as you can see, any higher and I wouldn’t trust
this in the wind. Everything else can be answered in our review! Thanks
for watching!
Great review RC Saylors!! I’m trying to decide on getting this or the
Flyzone Focke-Wulf plane to fly at school. Which one do you recommend? Also
could you do a review on the Flyzone Focke-Wulf??
Thanks a lot Exotic! Well the Wulf would be a Ton of Fun to fly, but
you’re talking two entirely different worlds here. Quad copters are so
much easier to get out and fly just about anywhere. Planes are much more
limited to certain areas you can and can’t fly in, so keep that in mind.
We’ll have to reach out to Flyzone to see what they think, and a lot of
times our Subscribers will ask the manufacturer to send it our way. We’ve
got quite a few vehicles ready to be reviewed right now, but none of them
are the Focke-Wulf. I think (Nate) if I were you, I’d go with the 230Si.
You should really look at Dromida’s Ominus Quad too before you buy. That
quad is the most fun to fly quad I’ve ever owned to this date, in that
price range. Hope this info helps, and thanks a lot for watching!
Dumb question, but where is the return to user button?
Seems like a fun quadcopter indeed! One question though, you guys talked
about fpv flying, does it mean you have some way of seeing the direct
footage of the quadcopter?
Easter egg: You did not land on the stump, you took off and played it
backwards
We just released one today and usually do on average of about every two
weeks. Sometimes more often.
Okay! when’s the next one?
That challenge was for a shoutout to the first person to catch it and was
caught a while ago. We now have a monthly RC giveaway in our challenge
series that you’re welcome to vote in!
What do I get?
Good Job JonA! That’s the easter egg!
hey guys, love your video.. what would you recommend for someone interested
in flying in FPV but on a budget?
You should absolutely look at the Proto X FPV! Thanks for watching kurgon!
Which Quadcopter is on top of the Desk behind nate’s head?
That is the Blade 350 QX!
Would you suggest this over a Letraxx Alias ?
I hear those have bad motor problems..
Lol ok. I was actually replying to the person who asked about the alias.
Sorry. Anyways since your here. You should def review an alias when the
weather is right for you. U wont regret it. I own a phantom 2. And i have
more fun with the alias. You can set the alias for 3, or 5 flips. Its
pretty sick! . Hows that proto x treating you?
You know, when I replied to this comment I really thought it was left on
our newer video, the 200 FP Vcam and that is why I said we hadn’t flown it
yet. I did really enjoy my flight time with this quad but sadly don’t own
it anymore. We do occasionally sell some of our RCs and this was one of
them to go after we shot this video. Thanks for watching!
all motors go bad. nothing beats an alias! I lost one and bought another
one. The alias can even handle 40+ mph wind gust. buy an alias!
We don’t own a Latraxx Alias and have no plans on getting one in our near
future… and unfortunately due to bad weather we haven’t flow this yet so
I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone Yet. I would however definitely
recommend the Dromida Ominus to Anyone in the market. Depends what your
budget is and what you are wanting out of it though. Camera I’m guessing?
If so, the Ominus is not your quad.
Excellent! Thank you so much.
You are very welcome, and thanks for watching!
I found this quad to be a bit on the heavy side , I do like the auto
altitude feature and it has a great camera !
We can agree with that for sure, it is a little heavy overall. Thanks for
watching Scott Media!
Hi can you help me Figure out how to Switch modes, and trim? For some
reason my Copter just flies off and I am not familiar with the Remote. I
have a Syma X5C-1 And I can fly that great, the 230si quad is Way more
powerful and aggressive? on my remote it says I am in mode 2? also do you
have to Lay the Remote flat and facing the rear of the quad every time you
go to fly? I have been doing that, but just wondering if it is necessary.
Thanks
Help, Mine fly’s off all crazy, even trimmed to the max,? I can’t fly low i
have to go up at least 50feet to fly it ,and i say fly very loosely ,any
lower it just goes straight to the ground. I have only taken it out 3 times
and got frustrated with it after a few minutes. should I just send this
back? of does it take a while for the motors to wear in??? Thanks
+TheRcSaylors Hi, I should be getting my new Helimax in on Monday the 4th.
Is there any way you could do an instructional flight on the remote modes
and what does what? I was flying mine when I first got it and I could not
tell what mode I was in, and it kept flying very awkward so I hit the
return to pilot and it did a nose dive from 60feet “I tried to recover as I
saw it darting toward the pavement but the copter did not get out of return
to pilot, so I am very nervous about flying the new one I get in. I read
the manual front to back 3 times, I understand most of it but there are a
lot of different flight modes and It doesn’t show you which mode your in?
well at least on mine anyway?? so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Eric
Ok, I have tried again, but I noticed that when I turn left and release the
stick the quad still flys left and i have to push the control to the right
real quick then it will fly straight, same with forward and back, left
,right . zi tried other modes, but I don’t think they are changing? I’m
going to call tower hobbies tomorrow.. thanks
MrEdrew, a lot of quadcopters won’t let you fly very low to the ground
because you are fighting your own turbulence. 50 feet sounds a little high
though. There are quite a few flight modes and you might just have your
quad in an odd flight mode so try switching them around and seeing if it
flies any smoother for you.
