In case people are wondering about the 400ft height restriction for drones…from the FAA website: The maximum allowable altitude is 400 feet above the ground, higher if your drone remains within 400 feet of a structure. And you had a spotter.

Hey Ken I flew my dij 4 pro +. Below were I live -200 feet I live on a small mountain. And I flew it down on the back side of the mountain a i landed it in the field with no glitches or skips. It was quit amazing. P.s and it was 800 feet away as well.

Tbh, you should of kept that sd card and kept it inside of the mini 1 so that just in case you do use the mini 1 again you don’t need to find a different sd card which is inside of one of your other drones.

Initial premise not answered.
The mini2 will refuse to go higher than 500 meters/1450 feet but in theory it could fly up 5000 meters / 14,500 feet and probably higher but you’d run out of battery to come back down. Apparently there are people that somehow trick it’s GPS and achieve extreme altitudes this way.

Note: I live in an urban area so yes expect a lot of 2.4ghz signals and I’m also a student so I don’t have an income, it’s literally my savings. What do you think?

maybe someone has told you this already, or maybe you have learned it yourself by now, but your phone caches the video in a sub folder for the dji fly app. I believe it’s a lower quality, but worst case scenario, if there is an sd card malfunction, you always have that.

I see a lot of these “phone screen recordings”, mostly edited in with the drone footage. Is the Fly app always recording along, or do you need to switch that on somewhere. Or do you need some sort of screen recorder? I don’t have my Mini 2 yet, but getting one soon. I already got the necessary registration and did the A1-A3 course (even though not required for the Mini 2), but I like to go in totally prepared, including having backup footage if anything happens to the drone.
