EX4 Quadcopter Dancing on Chilly Strong Wind Gusts – Altitude Mode00:00

Video recording on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, a chilly very windy morning.

The wind was blowing at 26 Kph, with gusts of up to 61 Kph and the ground temperature at 7 deg C (44 deg F); it felt like 3 deg C (37 deg F).

Foxeer Box 2 camera on the hat recording at 2.5K / 60 fps. On-board Camera recording at 1080p/30 Fps.

Last night it rained a lot and all the snow melted; today’s temperatures are unusually high with strong winds and tonight they will turn again negative.

This morning I flew the EX4 quad in the Altitude mode (with GPS off), which when flying above 3 meters is equivalent to the Sports Mode.

It was very very windy and the quad, when flying with the wind, doubled in speed! Had to take stip turns to counteract the wind drifting, as it can be seen from some sharp gimbal movements.

The EX4 is a great quad and I strongly recommend it.

PS: It is not recommended to fly in Altitude Mode unless you know very well how to fly the drone, because GPS is Off and RTH is not functioning – especially when it is windy the drone can very easily drift and flyaway.
