Flying my JJRC H8C in the snow. Thought I’d try some high altitude flying with my #18 808 keychain camera. The keychain camera’s video is much better than the poor 720p resolution of the H8C’s. No drop outs with the external antenna on the H8C and the WL Toys remote. The best combo for the farthest range.

Good quality video! I gotta wait until the snow/cold goes before I try
outside flying.
Man I really like that H8C. I’ve bult two mini quads but would love one of
these for indoor gym flying etc. I purchased two of these for a friend
wondering what she should get her husband and son for Christmas. I checked
and trimmed both quads out and put them back in their boxes. I want to buy
me one but a little Leary about the motors still. Have you seen the
tarantula in quadcopter101 YouTube site, it’s a little bigger but pretty
Kool.
I purchased this also for my RC club’s indoor flights. Yes, the Tarantula
looks cool, but it’s basically a V262 and I’m guessing with the motor
problems too. I’m awaiting my 3D X6 from Banggood. That is a 250 sized
brushless quad which I did a couple videos on but had to return the quad
due to a board failure. It has a lot of potential. Stay tuned to my
channel.
how many flights do u get out of that high capacity battery before the
motor is worned out?
Good question Ashish. I think using the 900 mah battery may be too much
but just not sure. I’ve lost two motors on this quad and I’ve had it about
a week. I think flying in the cold is not good either. These are the
problems with brushed motors however. I hope to get my 3D X6 back and then
I can fly and not worry about losing a motor. Just LVC “low voltage
cutoff”…Thanks for watching..
I know you’ve had some problems with this quad, but it seems as if you
haven’t given up on it quite yet. Love mine, flies great. I have replaced 2
motors…. but at $3 each not a huge issue.
I could not have said it any better. I guess it reminds me of a “Mini Me”
Cheerson CX 20.. Since I also have that, I thought having a little brother
would be nice. 😉 It is a decent flying quad and I admit I have fun with
it. If they could just design a more durable brushed motor, this would be
close to the perfect starting quad…
That’s a great video it seems to be doing fine I see you still have a bit
of the white stuff over there
Too much white stuff. I’ll sell you some cheap. Thanks for watching..
Amazing flight …cool …fly …keep going …cheers
LOL. Thanks Sameer. By the way, I lost a motor today. That’s number 2 on
this new quad. It just can’t handle my flying I guess;)
Uff !! Same here 2nd ..time motor dead on my black JJRC H8C ….waiting for
3rd motors CW order.. .These JJRC H8C quard company must look and solve
these motors pros …Many people are facing these issues ….also from
banggood.com …Hope for the best …Thanks and good work. .keep flying
chief !!
Same to you.. I have another 4 motors ordered from T Mart. That makes a
total of 8 for the two H8C quads. Sounds a little crazy doesn’t it..;)
Wow !! You r too good on flying skills ..Hope I learn like you ..one day
…☺ ….cheers !!
Lot’s of practice. The neighbors think I’ve never matured to adulthood,
but Hell flying quads is FUN….
Sorry to ask what may be be a odd question but can you not get brusless
motors for this quad please rember I’m in England and have been given one
with a burned out motor
I have 3 on order from bgood but all my wirers are black and blue I’m lost
😉
+Stewart Wilson They would have an arrow on top of the arm on the H8C CC
CW, if your one motor going CW the prop opposite would be the same
direction and the others CCW
Hi you hit the nail on the head there I have a soldering iron ?Wella
I had a good few years with RC things I do have the black Hubsan and small
Cheerson as well as 5 helicopters not that I’m good at flying any of them
but I’ll keep at it ?my friend I’m just wondering why this one has all
blue and black wires on all.the motor’s how can you differenceate ccw and
cw ?
Stewart, I’m not an expert on quads and their design. What I do know is
this quad cannot run brushless motors on the very small ESC’s. Electronic
speed controls. You cannot make a Lamborghini out of a Renault car is what
it amounts too. If you want brushless motors and durability, then you pay
$200 USD like I did and purchase a 3D X6. Of course, my 3D X6 had other
issues and I’m awaiting a replacement. These toy grade quads with brushed
motors are mass marketed to beginners and possibly a low budget audience.
I understand that thus why they are so popular. The downside is they are
cheap and virtually throw away items… Get used to soldering and replacing
motors. If you want to avoid this, then don’t fly the quad 😉 Good Luck.
One of the better in-flight videos I’ve seen from the less-expensive quads.
(Those being the under $200 models). Good piloting too. The little
keychain camera seems to do a pretty good job.
Thank You. I’ve had a few comments about me not being able to fly when I
lost control of this quad. Yes, when you lose radio control, the best
pilots don’t do well either. Thanks for watching..
Lisa thank you I can see the arrows on the arms my main worry is witch of
the motors are correct if you looked at mine all the motors have the same
colour wires I now have the new motors and they have black baces and white
baces What I would like to know is witch is ccw the black ones or the white
ones 😉
Stewart..Blue/red wires are clockwise. That’s the Left front and rear
right. Counterclockwise have the white/black wires. They are your right
front and left rear. By switching the black wire with the red wire on
another motor, you can change the spin direction. It really does not matter
as you can use any motor for any arm as long as you have the red or black
wires running the positive side …Good luck
Cool flying dude
Yep. Both quads are out of commission too! I have another 8 motors
ordered. Yes, you heard me correct. I’ve gone through 6 motors between
the two quads already. I will have a video of making a motor plug
connection on one of the quads to make changing motors out in the field
easy.
I check out motor-warehouse . com yhey awesome motors and will fit if know
size pinion teeth 9 or 11
Cool check my channel out not flying video but demo’s etc 1500 views so
must like my voice lol
+gadgetman 404 You da man if those work. It’s a nice little beginners quad
the motors drive me nuts however. Stay tuned, my 3D X6 replacement has
been shipped from Banggood. I’ll do some more aggressive flying with that.
Go the website watch video they give you insane speed performance etc check
em out oh and they cheap too
I’m awaiting 8 motors from both Banggood and TMart. I’m basically seeing
who gets them here first. Both my H8C’s are out of commission until I
receive the new motors. Thanks for the info…
nice height bro
Great video. I like seeing the view with all the snow you had. Question, is
the 400 foot flying height limit a recommendation or a hard rule set by the
FAA? Also what is the range on your H8C? Hope you thaw out soon as I see a
bike in your garage just waiting to be taken out for a ride.
The 400 ft rule is an advisory. Not a problem as this quad will not go
that high. Range with my better transmitter is about 100 to 150 meters
max. Don’t believe others on Youtube about 200 plus meters. No way in
Hell these can go that far. My Cheerson can, but that’s a hobby grade quad..
I had the Burgman 650 out yesterday by the way.
Good evening with this Radio when we associate the JJRC H8C we can make
with flip Thank you
I cannot flip the H8C with my WL Toys transmitter. I couldn’t care less
about flips anyway.
Yes. I don’t care much for the flips. I primarily fly for the video..
+MrPolymers i have flip buttons on my quad copter remote and havent used em
once.
That’s strange. I am able to flip with mine (same Tx as your link).
Agreed about not caring about them though 🙂 Nice flight!
tamanho dimensions ?
this or syma x5c?
This Youtube channel is becoming a full time job answering questions??;)
OK. The long and short of it. If you wish to stay with these cheap toy
grade quads, don’t purchase a 7.4v quad with coreless motors like the H8C.
Bad design as the 7.4v system burns the motors up. I guess the Syma X5C is
OK, but for me as an advanced pilot it is just too damn slow. A beginners
quad. The Tarantula or the V262 have more muscle and are more fun to fly
short of the hobby grade quads..
Good flying and video, the keychain camera and 900 battery work very well .
I find the Jjrc H8 a very useful quad, which flys well in wind when others
won’t. Anyone buying this quad should order at least 4 motors straight
away.
+Jim Sparky I like the quad, HATE the motors. Keep watching. I’ll be
focusing on my 3D X6 brushless quad. Yes, it can be a handful to fly and is
not a beginners quad, but it can fly extremely fast and has a heck of a
climb rate with the proper props which I will discuss.
Nice video great work on the modifications ! i really wanna move to ur city
now its just stunning view !!!!
OK. You can have the snow. I’ve lived with it all my life and I prefer
activities that require nice weather. Like riding motorcycles and flying
quads. 😉
Hahahaha I lived in warmer climate all my life, its just boring ! I love
the snow and i want to experience it to the fullest…
+Srinivasan S I think you’d prefer a warmer climate;). My daughter is
moving to Naples, Florida. I may move in with her. 😉
how much you can fly with the 900mah Tenergy battery? (time estimated)
I’m having a lot of fun with my v636 3.7 volt quad for around the house
flying. I’d suggest that for a beginner then move on up to the hobby grade
quads.
ok , thank you for information .
+MrEagle Well, first, I’d not purchase this quad. It just burns the motors
up with the 7.4 volt system. Stick with a 3.7v toy grade quad. The
Tarantula may be OK, but like my V262, it eats motors too.
Wouldn’t the cold in fact help the lifespan of the brushed motors, and the
battery for that matter? I ordered 12 more new ones for mine, as I have had
motors burn out during first flights >:(. But at $10 for a set of 4 I think
it’s a small price to pay for the fun! BTW is there a way to convert the
motors to true brushless? I know they try to call certain motors ( is
centerless the correct name? ) brushless when in fact they are.
