This micro quadcopter includes 5.8Ghz FPV, 2MP HD camera, PLUS an altitude hold system which makes FPV flying very easy. Its small size makes it a great carry along video quadcopter, or fun FPV flier. Its small size and weight also makes it exempt from requiring FAA registration in the USA. Find it here
Pro’s
– Altitude hold. Adjust the throttle to whatever height that you wish to fly, and let go of the throttle. The quadcopter will automatically maintain that altitude.
– 5.8 Ghz FPV system (camera, transmitter, receiver, monitor). Ready to go FPV flying.
– 2MP 720p HD video camera. Produces relatively good, jello free video.
– Headless mode
– Stable flier, good for aerial video purposes.
– Descends to a gentle landing at battery depletion.
– Exempt from FAA registration.
Con’s
– Does not have one key return.
– FPV range decreases as quadcopter’s battery drains. Starts at about 60m at beginning of flight, and gradually decreases to about 30m at end of flight.
– Swappable, but proprietary battery.
– Needed microSD memory card and card reader NOT included.
and here’s my flight with it.

likes 1 small 2 FPV 3 altitude hold 4 video outlets 5 steady flyer 6
appears to have good FPV display panelDislikes1 proprietary battery big
dislike 2 short range 3 very expensive for features 4 very poor video
setup 5 cannot ugrade software
It looks like the camera on the drone is focussed at 50cm or so. My old
H107 had that too, after adjusting the focus the picture was much better.
What are some quadcopters that have swappable battery plz put the links
down below if u can or plz put down the names of the quadcopters

Nice little quad, I was thinking about getting it for indoor flying;
however, it costs just as much as my V303…
Is the Syma X5SW a good quadcopter
Those Poor Trees ..Ouch LOL. Awesome Video. BTW Which buttons did you
press for high rates I forgot Thanks? =)
Dude, I have to say I love your channel. You are the reason I have started
flying drones. I also checked out your website giving an introduction to
drones and flying and it was full of valuable information.
I own a Syma X5C right now and I am looking to upgrade, what is the best
drone for under 500 Canadian dollars good sir?
Hubsan x4 h108 or syma x5c1?
hi i have the sx s48 quadcopter but its not flying up its going every
direction i have put the acceralation lever full up but its not lifting up
plz help
I thought I wanted altitude hold. But I don’t want it anymore. This quad is
terrible! Not a good camera quad and not a good, fast, fun quad like the
previous models. Also that propietary battery bay is a deal breaker. Not to
mention it’s so overpriced.
Its funny when people complain about prices on these quadcopters. Hubsan
mainly makes Toys, except the H301S, H501S and the Hubsan X4 Pro which are
on the higher end. The transmitter on this model is 50% of the price, which
you have to take into consideration. You’re paying for the RTF FPV package,
with a good looking design and some nice features. If you know how to
solder and build FPV setups and quads you wouldnt buy this!! This is for
beginners who want everything RTF out of the box and quality looking.
You’re also paying a bit for the brand, packaging and build quality. This
is good for beginners/children. People need to stop hating Hubsan. A
similiar company, Parrot, which makes the Bebop and A.R drone is just as
overpriced and their toy quads have a lot less features for a higher price.
That was a nice flight test and review, but then again most of yours are.
It’s seems like a tree magnet, lol. The battery is not the only thing
that’s proprietary I’m sorry to say the transmitter will not bind with any
others and vice versa the quad will not either, however you may have heard
they have come up with a mod so that it works with a Devo TX. There are a
lot of mixed feelings and reviews on this one I have flown it indoors and
altitude hold is not as bad as some say. I have also flown it outdoors,
didn’t have the headless mode down like you do, I pushed the throttle in
too long and it flipped which is what it’s supposed to do, so now after
watching your video I know what to do. The still shots are nice, the wide
angel video compared to the previous model is better, so that’s why every
time I tried recording on the transmitter I got no video, it doesn’t work,
well now I know. Have you had any experience with the Estes Proto X FPV and
if so which would you prefer given the Estes has no proprietary battery? Oh
you forgot to mention that the battery needs to be charged on the quad
itself kind of like the Estes, but they make 3rd party chargers for that
one, but this one no way because the battery is proprietary, I posted an un
boxing of this one on our new channel if you have time please take a look
and leave a comment, thanks for all you do.
can it do flips
actually you can use the goggles without connecting to the transmitter,
that is all about the frequency.
nice video your good at explaining
Can u do flips and can u connect it to a phone or iPad ?
Thanks for making this vid. It’s a great little all-in-one package for a
RTF FPV bird with altitude hold.
You lost me at proprietary mate.
The video down link of this quadcopter is garbage, you weren’t even 10
meters away when you were losing video signal….Really! I would rather go
with the Blade Nano qx fpv. At least that one offers better range and its
compatible with fatshark goggles right out of the box. They should’ve used
circular polarized fpv antennas on the quad as Blade did in theirs. The
quad looks pretty, but pretty doesn’t necessarily means good….Thanks for
your review. Is always good to see this kind of videos to help yourself
decide what to get. Thumbs up! Thanks for sharing…
With all this technology, they still haven’t been able to add a better
camera to these little micro quads, but I heard of the OnagoFly or
something like that, it’s just a few dollars more and has 1080P camera,
ground facing sonar, obstacle avoidance (on all four sides) and has
autonomous flight mode capabilities. Maybe you could review one of those
soon. Happy flying!
hey man have you ever heard about the h501s brushless fpv . its full hd,
plus a whole lot features like return to home, gps accuracy (which req
compass calibration), 120 fov, and 15 to 20 min flight time. its like the
h107d plus on steroids or its bigger brother. ps its brushless sooo
exciting cant wait to have one in the us
Alt hold AND headless mode wow, that’s something i was looking for on a
mini quadcopter. Pitty it is so expensive!
Would you reccomend this over the JXD
509D for learning how to fly FPV?
What impresses me the most is your camera/video used to document this
review – TACK sharp and beautiful color and detail. What were you using to
record this review, camera and lens and settings??? Really GOOD JOB on
this, and neat little quad!
Edit: Oh dear, just realized the camera in question may be the dreaded
GoPro. VERY overpriced little camera with admittedly good results.
