So in your Legally fly above 400Ft,
Can I go to the summit of Mount Everest and fly a drone
Somehow…
This video is very great!
Ken
I’m out here in South Western Ohio… I live in a State Park… Rocky fork Lake… I have a phantom standard in which I have updated drastically with a 5.8 16dbi pannels. I’m using the standard battery pack that came with my drone.. I’m getting between 12,000 and 14,000 feet in distance… everything is flat with minimal rolling hills here and there… there are little to no houses in my flight path as the extra wifi I’ve found interferes with my signal really bad and at times my camera signal will get grey screen at about 9 to 10 thousand feet, but as I climb standing and pointed at my bird it green screens again and signal comes back… I am not at liberty to give an actual height distance due to the 400 ft regulation, but let’s just say that I’ve tested it out in a nearby soybean field… and itll max height all day… I was actually considering getting a Phantom 4 but I’ve read where its distance is really no greater than the distance I’m getting now… i truly believe that with extra battery power i would be able to go further, but i get afraid and hit my return home button for fear of running out of battery and not making it back.. it was windy last week so on my return, my speed reached 51 mph..! I’d never gone that fast before… my round trip was 18 minutes… with a little hovering here and there panning my camera for video…. my travel speed was 37 mph… is getting a P4 even worth it ya think? Or should I just upgrade my camera… I have the 2.7 original camera… video is decent buttttt, well you know….!
how did you set the air to reach 900ft high? please let me know 🙂 thanks
Just roll back your firmware and change those pesky flight parameters! Easy 🙂 Fly safe and have fun! Max is more like 15000 feet
How is Dana using goggles with the Mavic Air?
Went 900 feet with my dji spark. Surprisingly it had more in her. There isn’t much interference where I fly.
I want to say I read a rule about distance from guy wires…
So how can you have an altitude battle when the FAA says no higher than 400 ft AGL. If it wasn’t for that tower you couldn’t go higher than 400 ft. Note, large metal structures can interfere with your drone.
FYI
You showed the distance for the air even though it’s not my favorite drone using just the phone not the controller.
This is what you should have put up
MAVIC AIR FROM DJI!!
Operating Frequency 2.400 – 2.4835 GHz
5.725 – 5.850 GHz
Max Transmission Distance (unobstructed, free of interference) 2.400 – 2.4835 GHz:
FCC: 4000 m
CE: 2000 m
SRRC: 2000 m
MIC: 2000 m
AGAIN THE NOISE OF THE MAVIC AIR I WILL NEVER own that drone after hearing it in person
How come you haven’t tried the same thing with ocusync the mavic pro.. ocusync is much better then lightbridge..
another great video lots of fun
walking past a gym
hey whats that g-iii-mmm
I sent my karma up 3200 feet but ascended fast as possible and then slow decent and only used half battery. I’m an old guy as well and was surprised.
