Pros
– Good looking microi drone. Very similar in appearance to the Lily camera drone. This may very well be the closest that any of you will ever come to actually owning a Lily 😉 Hopefully, I’ll be proven wrong on this point.
– Altitude hold with automatic takeoff and landing. Altitude hold works relatively well to maintain elevation without having to mess with the throttle control. Pilot can maintain focus on horizontal flight instead of worrying about vertical control.
– Headless mode and one key return. Combining headless mode with altitude hold enables very easy flying of this quadcopter via its app.
– FPV video viewable through your smart phone.
– Quadcopter is controlled entirely through the “MJX H” app. I actually like this app. It is the most advanced control app that I’ve yet seen for toy grade quadcopters. You name it, it probably can do it. It even has a Flight Plan control page that allows you to draw the quadcopters route, and the quadcopter will follow it. this feature though is a little tricky, and takes some practice and adjustment to get it right. If you’re doing Flight Plan flying, strongly recommend practicing it in an open field to allow for mistakes. But anyways, you can try the app for free here. Android

Looks cool, any lights on it?. Also why do a review on something that is
not available jet. One on Banggood has been “Expecting soon” for over 2
months, very irritating, why dangle this in front of use? I think it
might bind too the TX of the MJX spider

any recommendations?
I have been trying to hone my skills in flying quads. being very new to it,
i find it very disorienting at times and downloaded a couple of drone
simulators on my phone (android). There are quite a few out there, i used
these two: My Quadcopter and QuadcopterFX Simulator. After a bit of
practice i’m flying much better on the sim. Is there any way you could do a
review video on a sim and tell us how close it comes to real life flying of
the expensive quads?

Had an APP quad-copter Qr Y100, same thing camera was laggy, not good at
all. Not a favorite of APP copters, haven’t seen a good one yet.

I’ve had very little sleep since deciding I want a quad / drone which I can
by and large blame you for as I’ve become most engaged with your reviews,
which I thank you for as no doubt many other have. In the meantime I”ve
deceided on a budget of £300 / $450 ish ($100 if the wife asks) withi which
I’d love something like the “lily”, the main fearures being fly away and
follow with as minimal skil requirement needed as I’m a beginner / but a
fast learner, so my question is, from all the testing and fun you and your
dog have had, which have you enjoyed the most which offer all or some of
the features I’d like at the budget set ? Many many thanks in

i own a lily
I have one of these on the way. $41 with some extra props. Added a couple
of extra battereis too. My question is about using VR goggles (not FPV)
with this little drone. MJX says it’s compatible with VR goggles. But, if
the VR goggles require me to put my iPhone 6+ inside the goggle frame, then
how would I steer the drone? (I wrote to GearBest and got a nonsense answer
back.) Any clues? And, thanks for the review. Nice job, as always.

do not!!! i repeat do not buy this product.soldering in this model made so
bad ,its miracle it didn’t shorted circuits on first power on ,provided
battery puffed and pushed on electronics that mounted on same frame as
battery tray !! ….results in totally not working model in 10 flights ..i
can provide pictures of that disaster!
