Flying the WLToys V222/V959 high in one of my local large parks. Recorded video using both the onboard 480p 60fps camera and camcorder from the ground.
V222 Quadcopter is definitely an impressive multirotor for the price

Awesome video!!!! I love the highlighting of the copter when it’s up high!
cool!
How high?
I’m not sure … but it has to be a couple hundred feet.
Never had a problem with drop outs (signal lost)?
Excellent,I hope mine will get that kinda range.
The music was Perfect for the video; What movie did it come from??
The music is from the Youtube provided libary
nice work, mine is on its way :)
+Darren Stewart Yes, I’ve found that the micro quads like the Hubsan even
handle wind better then these mini quads. If you want to fly in wind, you
need a quad with brushless motors. My DJI Phantom handles wind fairly well,
but something like the f550 does an amazing job of handling wind.
Had mine a while now its great for the money, only gripe is it just doesn’t
handle any wind well at all,if u want to fly a quad in some wind i
recommend u buy a more expensive model with a better gyro stability system
installed, other wise good fun inside or out on calm days
You should enjoy it! It’s a fun quad.
hmmmm could do alot of spying with this….
I just pulled the trigger today .. all I have to do is sit and wait for
v222 to arrive
+RCvolo usted me puede ayudar a conseguir un motor para wl v 202? gracias.
+duvan20201 Well, it can take much more abuse than my larger quads. Parts
are also very cheap if you need them.
+RCvolo it is durable?
It’s a great quad for the price!
Is there any way you can see what you are recording live from a cell phone
or a ipad or can you buy something like that any where.
No, not with the wltoys models. But there are some mini quads like the
Walkera QR W100S that do have wifi.
Lost my V222 yesterday while going for height. The wind strengthened while
it was pretty high, I cut off the motors to make it fall a bit so I could
see it better, but it rotated while falling and I could not see anymore in
which direction it was facing. Soon after that, I’ve lost visual contact
with the quadcopter, searched for 2-3 hours in the fields later, but to no
avail. Perhaps will buy a new one…
Too bad … I’ve lost a couple mini quads myself exactly the same way. I find
that if you paint the canopy a really bright color, it make it much easier
to find them.
So is the v222 a newer model to the v959, whats the differences, thanks :)
V222 has accelerometers and gyroscopes, while the V959 only has gyros …
this make the v222 much more stable in wind.
Thanks :))
I didn’t expect this quad could be so much fun to fly. It is very visable
even at night, because of the lights.
Yes, it’s a amazing machine for the price!
I just got one of these shipped for 65.00 and it really is an impressive
quad, i love everything about it, especially the price, and this is one
well made machine, i also got 2 v912, and 4 v911 and all i can is these
truly are worth the price, and parts are really cheap. WL TOYS rule.
Yup, it’s a fun little quad!
Cielo nublado y cuando graba el quad el cielo está despejado.
you have really sharp eye
How do you turn for your camera to look to other point…all i know is to
make quadcopter to turn…but not the camera angle itself
Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean. I simply just turn and yawn the
quadcopter
Great video and flight
Thanks
Got my V222 two days ago and this thing is a blast, no crashes yet! Do you
modify the antenna by poking it threw the canopy? I haven’t had any
dropouts like others report, but you do have to watch the time closely,
when the lights blink you start to use power fast.
I noticed that when the lights start blinking indicating the battery is
low, you got about 10 seconds.
No mods done … everything is stock. If your going for height or distance,
I’d recommend a timer.
Hihi Nice
How high did it get to? How long does the battery last?
It can get to about 100 meters high and the battery last 8 minutes.
not nice camra on drone :P
which one is better this ro the jjrc h8c
+ahmed jamal alsiri The jjrc h8 is a lot smaller … it would be a better
choice for indoor flying.
