When you fly FPV a Drone then there is always a chance to fail in this episode I show you my Fail Of The Week, this time I missed a Ghost branch and all that I could think about when the FPV signal went dark “Drone lost” So I will lose my first drone ever in a Cold Mountain River was my thoughts while we searched over 2h for my Drone in the cold and on the final way back to the car I FOUND IT.

On my last video https://youtu.be/667E0ZKg9Rk I asked you if I should go for the next level and go for the small gap under the bridge and you said yes so here we are it was a nice day this was my last lipo because of we where on the home way from a really nice long range flight (more from this soon) and I said lets to it and it worked first try but when you know me I always try to improve my FPV game so I go for a faster and smoother (hypersmooth) line and so this epic fail could be filmed in ⁴k and with sound I really don’t like this ghost branches my biggest hope for the future of this hoppy is that we get some kind of HD video for better contrast and more sharpness in the video feed.

So how do we find my drone?
My girlfriend and I were looking for about 2h because the river was hard to reach and there is still a lot of snow lying around and this mountain river is super cold we got quite cold and wet feet. It took us so long because I was thinking after hitting the branches I get straight into the river and at this place the River was super strong so we thought my quad was taken by the River, and who could have guessed that a quadcopter jumps like a rubber ball, so we searched almost all the time in the wrong place. But in the end, I found him then nevertheless approx. 30cm deep water with the GoPro on it! But that was really on the last cal and I was just on the way to the car just looking for some red (props were red) in the river while I slowly went to the car.

Now a few hours later and after the drying of my Quadcopter the following components are unfortunately to be booked as defective: Revolt FC and a Swift 2 FPV Cam and also the T-motor ESC and the TBS EVO only TBS Crossfire and the Johny motors look good, but more tests have to be done to find out if these components really still work.
But we’ve all learned something, see if there are any ghost branches somewhere in your trajectory.

My GoPro Hero 7 was going under Water and I’m really happy that she is Waterproofed and it took some of the nice underwater shots from this video.
