Short answer
The cabin was filled with unconditioned air from the outside, warm and nearly saturated in water vapor, and the dew point (see below) close to the ambient temperature. The conditioning system while injected cold air in the cabin decreased the temperature below the dew point. Invisible water vapor (gas) was converted into visible water droplets (liquid).
The water droplets are nearly immediately re-evaporated in warmer air remote from the AC outlets. Eventually all cabin air with its high level of water vapor will be circulated into the water separators of the packs, and as pointed out by @JanHudec the humidity level will be kept low during the rest of the flight, removing the possibility of condensation.
Thanks for the video, Bobby… First time I have seen stewardesses with their hair down… Usually have it up in a bun, like all the girls working in the SM stores… I believe SOI is the Thai word for street, or road…. Take care….
Lisa d such a classy woman
The ”smoke” you saw on the plane was condensation when the cold air hit the humid air of the aircraft. I was nearly sick when I saw the food prepared in Soi by the cook NOT wearing cooks gloves. No wonder foreigners get diahorrea a lot in Phils. I live in Cebu and I’m very selective of where I eat. My friend ate in Larisen which is a BBQ joint and he was in bed vomiting for 4 days.
