Interesting video! Many mistakes were pilot error.
I’ve already seen some of those videos.
The first video I just can’t understand why he continued flying over that pond with 0% battery, luckily he landed on the far side just avoiding the water! The recovery was painful to watch, the drones location was clearly visible on the map but they kept looking in completely the wrong areas and direction! ?
Range tests over water are very risky, especially when you come back with only 50% battery!
Wind is also a factor in many Mavic Mini crashes.
Also understanding how RTH works is crucial to the long life of your Mavic Mini, set the RTH altitude according to your surroundings, set it above the highest obstacle between you and the drone!
Trees are your enemy when flying drones lol

what’s this i keep seeing with people saying their drones just disconnect randomly in midair? i’m looking to buy a mavic mini but i don’t want it to die for no good reason, are these random issues patched out in the firmware updates as of now?

I crashed my mini flying into a covered basket ball court.
There was too much metal and I wasn’t too far away. Lost reception almost immediately and it jerked to the side once signal was lost and it hit a hoop, skimmed along the ground. It was fine. Had done it before. Never again.
Without sensors this drone it s too dangerous
It’s weird how almost all crashes the battery popes or falls out
Idiot pilots like these is why the FAA has been coming down HARD on drone/RC pilots with new unnecessary laws.

#8 is the most common mistake. I always check that my RTH altitude is always set at over 100′. That and flying with a low battery.

If I am flying my mini 2 over waterbody, I would definitely equip it with a water landing flotation device at least.
I watch a lot of these videos, and always cringe when people refer to themselves as drone pilots, a true aircraft pilot would never do 99% of these completely idiotic things…SAD
