RC quadcopters don’t always fly the way you want them to and sometimes the ground gets in the way.
Here are a couple of Gordon’s “arrivals” with his metal quad which just go to prove that if you’re not crashing occasionally, you’re not trying hard enough!
Good SAFE fun!

Hi xjet, loving the videos as they come up on your channel. Quick question,
whats the chance of a video on the coreflute bi plane? Whether it be the
full part three or even just talking about the plane and maybe give some
measurements like wing separation and placement, where the CG is, the servo
placement, fuel consumption on the little cox and maybe talk about how you
found the battery life while just running the receiver and servos. It would
be greatly appreciated if you could make some sort of a video.
Thanks, Tom

Ya haven fun yet mate..!!
Wait until you see my next video — it shows a me flying in a manner that
clearly demonstrates the type of total disregard for safety and poor flying
skills that got my wings revoked.
It’s a shocker! And yes, a model aircraft and a permanent structure *are*
involved!
+xjet
I’m setten on pins and needles hope it’s “R” Rated..!! I bet it’s a G13
..LOL..!!
+xjet Slapping forehead now! And here I thought it was all made up! 🙂
I am glad to see you are flying and having fun…..I mean being bored to
tears with a spotter, safety officer and flying LOS circuits only!
50 feet, too high? Orientation shouldn’t be too much of a problem if you
have your specs on.
Nah… he was a couple of hundred feet high (I had full zoom on the camera)
in that last segment. He was flying FPV too so orientation wasn’t a
problem — although judging your exact position over the ground below
becomes more difficult as you go higher in altitude. The “lading” was
simply a misjudgement of descent rate — very easy to do when you’re
learning and if the day is overcast so there’s no shadow on the ground
below to privide visual cues.
+xjet an accelerometer would be quite useful on those then. Maybe add
something to limit the integral of the relative acceleration to -1 m/s Y.
I dont have a quad nor am a rc guy but i think with an arduino and a 3D
accelerometer module it could be done. But if i’m thinking about it, i
suppose someone already made it.

Turnigy 5014’s. Nice motors but terrible mounts. Got some on my DIY
waterproof boxquad.
I dont even try to crash, but it happens all the time. so dose that make me
a professional.. Lol

They didn’t use locktite on DC10’s either and look what happened….
Just adding to the broken prop collection is all. That seems to be my
primary hobby even if I don’t intend it to be.

Waiting for the QRX 350 Pro part 2 mate, Can you kill it?… yes you can…
What would you recommend to fly to a person who hasn’t any experience
flying model aircraft.
I’d recommend buying an RC model flight simulator program such as
Realflight, Reflex, Aerofly or similar and learning the basics then
investing in a very tough and easy to fly model such as the AXN you will
see featured in a number of my videos. It helps if you can also find
someone who is already able to fly – they’ll help you trim out your model
and give you some help.
If you want to fly a multirotor — buy one of the very cheap small “toy”
quadcopters that sell for about $50-$100 on the Net. These fly very well
and are incredibly tough. Once you’ve mastered that you can move up to
something a bit bigger and more expensive.

lol that was good .. the radio shack stores here sale the quads for about
$75. us and their easy to fly .. thanks for the video ..
If you haven’t seen it Bruce, looks what’s on the horizon in your field –
wonder what sense and avoid system this has.

Your channel is great! I’m very impressed by your interesting videos. Very
nice , unique and refresh. I am the manager of the Banggood shopping web,
we want to send you some gifts?and make a video. Are you interested in
this? Can you give me an email to choose some products? my email adress is
yule@banggood.cn. I am expecting your early reply and discuss more details
with you. we desire a long-term cooperation. And I also often upload some
videos made by myself. Maybe we can subscribe and share ideas to each
other.
+Banggood You might like to know that I also publish the RCModelReviews
YouTube channel and have had a recent bad experience with Banggood that I
will be telling my subscribers about soon. Talk to Phoebe on your support
team, she will fill you in on the details so right now — I’m not a
Banggood fan I’m afraid.

This almost happened to me.
I came back from relatively aggressive flying, landed, and hand-spun the motors – and one of them was a short way from flopping in the breeze!
Check your screws!
