Great Videos
Interesting clip… my walkera qr x350 has found itself in an inverted
position a number of times… probably because I zigged when I should have
zagged… always during manual flight… nowadays when I fly in manual mode
I keep one finger glued to the rth switch and recovery is immediate…. I
learnt the hard way after two body shells… flying in gps hold eliminates
those scenarios and it does help in improving flying skills…. will check
out your other vids… I’m sure that they will be as interesting as this
was… cheers mate
do ya zigged when ya should have zagged bro?
Great videos. HD would be a nice addition. :)
Thanks for the comments, we are now posting in HD
Thats great! Thx for your feedback!
Thank you for your videos.
What are the black extensions you have on the landing legs of one of your
Phantoms? Does it effect compass location and where can I buy them??
Cheers,
HI There
They are just leg extensions, great when you are hanging cameras etc. You
should be able to get them from our shop link. If you cant find them let me
know. Under $10
So basically this is a what NOT to do with your phantom?
It’s more about demonstrating what the Phantom wants to happen

Shows even better what the Phantom try’s to cope with
Few days ago I got the chance to fly a friend’s Phantom II (I believe it
was 2). I really wasn’t all that impressed.
Costing as much as they do, i was expecting really amazing things from
Phantom.
My trainer quad(i use it to teach people how to fly quads) cost about
300-400$ can do anything Phantom can do(and some things it can’t.Thanks to
APM autopilot), stay in the air longer than phantom (with 13″ props and
700kv motor 3S 5000Mah batteries +20 minutes) and in case of a crash, It’s
far easier and cheaper to repair.
My main quad(costs about 1500$ including gimbal and FPV system and mobius)
can’t be even compared to DJI.
So what’s the deal with Phantoms? Why is everyone flocking to them? There
is only one advantage i can see to them, that is they are Ready To Fly. You
don’t need to solder anything or calibrate any ESCs and all that. But is it
really worth paying 1000$ more?
Goof feedback! Always grateful for everyone’s comments!
I meant good!
As you are in Australia, your Phantoms are actually already flying upside
down…….. ;}
Ha Ha! That’s true!!
+HypervisionAustralia anti-clockwise as well!
Just started with my Phantom and any tips I can get are really appreciated.
Thanks for posting and you have a new subscriber.
Look fwd to any videos you pose.

Thanks JF! Hope you enjoy!
Mine crashed yesterday, i descended to fast and it flipped over and
crashed.. First i should have not descended to quick but does anyone know
how to recover a out of control phantom?
+ESideMolodezh
Well up throttle should do it, but that’s only if its controllable!
if it’s somewhat stable go straight up
Not sure about out of control but when descending,ALWAYS make sure that the
craft is either moving forwards or backwards as its coming down. Not always
practical but it certainly eliminates prop wash which can put your craft
into freefall.
Just a caution that, yes, the Phantom 2 can invert itself, and once in that
position it is extremely difficult to impossible to rectify. I know as I
experienced it at high altitude and watched helplessly as it streaked,
upside down, into the ground. While the bird survived, the GoPro did not
and the HD3D gimbal was toast. Let’s just say, it was an expensive event.
See the video here: phantom 2 UAV Inverts at high altitude and crashes .
The best way to survive this is to avoid it. My thoughts are that I was at
very low throttle where the Phantom has little maneuverability. I tried to
do a steep spiraling descent where you use strong yaw and bank. Note that
in this demonstration video above, the Phantom is at hovering throttle with
controls set to neutral. In the end, mine went over at low throttle,
perhaps with the help of a wind gust. After that, it was all over. The bird
gains so much downward vertical momentum, so quickly, that you, or it, can
not snap out of it. Lesson: do not do sharp maneuvers at low throttle.
Not exactly the “upside down” many people were thinking of…
“to prevent crashes in the future”. haha I’m just a novice with my phantom
but for me, preventing crashes means not flying it in a wooded forest
+MarkKaput
That should do it!!!
How we did it? We didn’t.
Great Video, thanks for the info!
Hi Master, could you tell me how to get the music in your video ? thank
you soooooooo much!
+Tingyu Xie
All our music comes from Premium Beat
Hope that helps!
thanks very much! I’ll try to find it by your recommendation.
Hi i wonder if i get moidt and dirt in the phantom vision 2 inside the
camera lens any suggestion? Tq
Phantom isn’t impressive at all. I agree. I hv phantom 2 and I couldn’t get
the jello in my vids out. It’s expensive because it’s an out of the box
solution. I hv my other build quads that is much cheaper and have better
recording vids.
Spend a few more dollars and get a Vision Plus, it is ROCK STEADY, no jello
with excellent video.
nd filter will be a huge help remove jello.
plenty of phantom vids on my page for examples.
Have you tried balancing your props and motors?
These are not cheap chinese props. but i have balanced it. i hear that a
filter can eliminate the jello effects. anyways, i’ve done everything i
could and it is annoying even if it is very small. I have two other
quadcopters that i’ve build and they are perfect.
Gimbal…
Awesome work on helping to improve the multi-rotor community.
