After “manual review” YT has decided that the video can be monetized. Sadly, I’m seeing this more and more — a video is arbitrarily demonetized and thus earns virtually no revenue during the initial peak of views. Once they get around to reviewing it and restoring monetization that lost revenue will never be recouped. They claim the algorithm is learning and getting better but I’m finding the opposite.
As Joerg Sprave points out, despite YouTube’s claims to the contrary, there is no “partnership” between YouTube and its content creators. Real partners trust each other but YouTube clearly does not trust people like myself who have been content creators of good standing for many years and whose content has consistently proven not to infringe community guidelines in a way that would prompt demonetization.
I thank my Patreon supporters, without them I would not be able to continue in the face of this attitude from YouTube.
If Amazon claim it’s about job creation, then no, it’s not; it’s about cutting labour costs and maximising profit. Any jobs created will be Amazon jobs, and we’ve all heard troubling experiences about what Amazon are like as employers.
Drones buzzing around everywhere, every day between about 6am to 10pm, is going to be a whole bundle of ‘fun’ for urban residents. It’s another form of pollution, and with a huge potential for further invasion of privacy. We’ve seen and heard nothing yet; just wait.
Ultralight airplanes and helicopters fly under 500ft over my suburban neighborhood very often.
Aren’t the 4 already spinning knives weaponized enough?
Check this out Bruce:
Was flying an erwin on a hill in Sheffield just about to dive down the face of the the slope when friends shouted Nooooo! Then under my model came the red arrows, that would have ended pretty badly and would have been blamed on me. Thing is they are aware of the slope flying site and it was confirmed in an email reply when I complained. But as we all know if there was an incident I’d have been the one in the wrong.
Was it a DJI “BOOM-arang”??
Its NO DIFFERENT than any criminal using a car to rob a bank. Remember more havoc has been done by the stroke of a pen than ANY other weapon in HISTORY. NOTHING against you
