I wanted to see how a super light weight 85mm 2S whoop would fly. I used the 85X frame, Happymodel 0802 motors, 48mm tri-blade props (lightest weight since the motors are so small) and the guts from a 65 Pro 2 (FC and VTX-used different camera-see below). I used 2S 300mah BetaFPV LiPos with a proper XT30 connection. Overall it flys very well. You’ll absolutely never get a washout since its so light (32g dry) and you’ll be able to pull out of dives at the last second. The downside of this build is that you need to drill holes in the 85X frame to fit the 080X motor mounting pattern. I wanted to use the BetaFPV 12,000kv 0802 motors but the wires were too short and I did not feel like lengthening 12 hair thin wires which is why I ended up using the 16,000kv Happymodel motors. The downside to the 16,000kv motors is that they are a bit power hungry which resulted in 2:30-3 minute flight times. I have since swapped out the 0802 motors and 3-blade 48mm props for 1103 11,000kv motors and 4-blade Emax Avon props. The result was that I got a bit more instant torque/punch and more efficiency. I have a video of the 1103 version that I will release soon!

Thanks for all the 2S whoop testing you are doing!
Seems like you are getting close to the perfect setup…
Amazing!!! Do you used Happymodel 0802 motors 16000kv?
Tis is COOL.. i wan one.. ?
Looks good. Should’ve got 22,000 kv for the 85mm 3s?
Awesome Bro! Finally someone else gets it that it’s all about the weight with who0ps! Light, fast, and nimble! Nice going! ??
So unlike the builds done on paper that lo0k great, but fly like crap or at least with major compromises! Bloated up with all these weight gaining features that kill performance! ?
My hats off to you! You know your who0ps! Touche! ???
Amazing video,What pids used you?
impressive!!!
I believe on this build you can get more than 3minutes flight time if just cruising around without loop flip split-s.
Can’t hardly wait to see yours with 1103.
