Quadcopter frame made from easily obtainable parts, from your hardware or arts and crafts store. See Part2, the initial test flight here http://youtu.be/I9Lai6Rc-J8
1/8 sheet wood for top/bottom plates.
1/2 wood dowel for arms
1″ 6-32 screws, inner.
2″ 6-32 screws, outer.
4″ hole saw, to make top/bottom plates.
Multiwii 1.7 (ATMEGA Firmware)
Wii Mmotion+ – Gyro (from wiimote and nunchuck)
BMA180 – Accelerometer
ESC – TURNIGY Plush 18amp Speed Controller (hobbyking)
Motor – 2210N 1000Kv Brushless motor (hobbyking)
Power Bus – home made.
The remote control/transmitter is nothing special, you can use any rc remote, I use a standard 2.6ghz transmitter / receiver. I mean any rc trasmitter/receiver will do, even from your old rc toys. Just make sure it is legal in your country to use it on an rc aircraft..
goooooooooooooooooooooood very very

Yes get it Bro… but don’t know how to fix the motor with plastic tag..
Does the motor have the mount ?
Way cool! How much did this build cost for all the parts?
Less than a hundred bucks. And the frame almost cost nothing.
exactly
Very nice
how do you program the microcontroller
I use multiwii firmware. Just need to calibrate it. Search muktiwiicopter
do I need to buy a charger please respond
Yes. It uses rechargeable battery.
Hey brother what is kind of motor?
Bro can you tell me for what is kind electronic? Please tell me bro?
Where did you get that electronic
Tell me please brother
You should’ve shown a clip of you flying it at the end.
so what motors & esc & power bus do you use?
where did you get the stuff to make it? specially the propellers and motor
+sangeeta bhardwaj the propellers are motors are from r/c hobby shop.
are the following assembled or i need to assemble them
arduino microcontroller
wii motion plus – gyro
BMA180 accelerometer
also what is the voltage of your battery…….
+sangeeta bhardwaj , just buy an assembled arduino pro mini, the wii gyro
was ripped from wii controller, but you can purchase gyro somewhere, same
as bma180, the battery is a LIPO, you can use 2S or 3S battery. depending
on the motor you want to use.
while its not terribly hard what was done in this video isnt cheap or
easy…you might aswell just buy one unless you want the project. I know
this cause i own microcontrollers and etc… Ive seen 3 high grade drones
at Fry’s Elec. for less than 60 bucks which used to be hundreds.. i
estimate supplies in this video easily in 200 hundo range…this guy is
just showing off
Sorry to disappoint you. It only cost me less than a hundred bucks.
Obviously you are not in the rc hobby and you are not familiar with the
parts I’ve reused and where they can be bought. This is hackable and hobby
grade and not to be compared with your walmart grade toy. This video was
also way back 2011, even before you learned about rc drone…
its i hate whats that nonsense you doing and that baby voice at back makes
me go crazy
+pradeep kumar so you don’t like children ..right??? What a CRAP you mus
be….
I see. My videos require some comprehension that you may not be able to
pick up. But your videos looks more sensible I guess
How much does this drone costs?? And I want to know how to do a remote
control (sorry for the wrong English)!!
You are really creative…you found out how to make a drone from scratch :)
Do you have a child that is playing pokemon? I can hear it in the
background when going double speed.
+Sharkette I’m doing double duty. baby sitting and doing my hobby at the
same time. 🙂
Could you please do another video and go into detail about the electronics
and setup
Hi there! I just want to know about the remote control. i really dont know
about this. Please response ASAP because Im using this as my project.
Please I really want to learn and I was really amazed and inspired about
your video. I hope you are kind enough to help me out. 🙂 Godbless :)
i’ve a helicopter but he don’t fly :((( what i must do ??
really
+Oussama Houimly since you didn’t provide enough info, i don’t know why.
there could be a hundred reasons.
Where is test flight??
In the description.
hey it’s a good video but is there a link to everything you need? and the
plans :p I wanna build a drone as well. How much did this cost you?
GOOD WORK …. thanx for posting here.
Could you tell us more about the programing the Arduino Nano etc…..PLEASE
and also the R/C used in your project.
with all the parts u got why not buy a cheap frame
I built a 3-wheeled robot with differential steering that I controlled with
a TV remote. Really inexpensive. I used two geared DC motors mounted on a
wood base. I wanted to publish the code but I had to write an offset for
one of the motors so it would track straight. That’s unacceptable for
anyone who would try to build it.
I had hoped a compass would eliminate the need for wheel encoders. I wonder
if a gyroscope would be overkill?
+3deeguy would like to see you project come into fruition. would be nice if
you can document and upload it for us to see and learn.
+h2oreactor I’m gonna learn from your experience and use a gyro. I have
never taken the compass out of its packing materials so I have no idea what
I can do with it.
I originally thought I could use a compass instead of *DIY wheel encoders*
for a remote controlled robot project that I never finished. From what you
wrote I now see that magnetic interference from motors could be a big
problem. Thanks.
+3deeguy I use square wood dowel, cost around a buck/3ft @homedepot.
top/bottom frame is just a thin plywood, cut with drill saw, see first part
of video. Rest of the parts are in the description
+3deeguy cool. Propellers are nice. You can supplement a gyro with compass
for better accuracy, but replacing it with just a compass is not a good
idea. There are features that gyro has but compass doesn’t, gyro are tri
axial. Also, earth mag field is weak, and also remember you have four
motors around your compass. But… Trying is learning… Why not.
hi
yyour quqd copter is very amezing
i want to do it at my home
but idont know abaut the parts required
means accelerometer ,transmitter and reciever specification
i want help from you
my email–sachinshelke5s@gmail.com
Where do you get the circuits to control the quadcopter?
+h2oreactor hi good video 🙂 i want to make my own so i need all the parts
you use. how can i contact you to talk all about this ?
You could pass the code?
Hey +h2oreactor Would you please consider making a video of this little
sucker in action? Would love to see it in the air!
Fabulous! Appreciate the speedy feedback!!
Hi. Yeah, it’s in the description
How would you control it?
at 6:00 you dont tell us what colors connect to which wires from motor to
esc. you dont talk at all why not
after all that.. you didnt show it flying?
+Robots4Sale I can’t spoon feed everybody either. The description is there
for a reason. Here.. let me hold your beer and move your mouse and click
the description.
+h2oreactor i dont watch videos to read the description
+Robots4Sale I guess you didn’t read the description?
did you buy the parts
i mean where did you buy the party
Slow motion.. Mderfker.. Lol
What motors were used?
Can you give me a list of parts?
Konichiwa 🙂
My question: is it possible to include a Raspberry Pi in this drone? The
purpose is to use additional command, written in programming language.
And if yes, how is it to do so?
Thank you.
konnichiwa.
you can. but the arduino already does what you are asking for in a small
form factor.
Very nice to your easily assmble Quadcopter I want to contract pl. your E mail tnhak VU2Tkc Kolkata INDIA Mail ID: vu2iwa@gmail.com
Hey ,i am working on f450 quadcopter with kk2.1.5 .i have assembeled it but its showz error like no i yaw input and when it goes shows no pitch input can you help me out please
you can at least mute the video if you don’t want to speak or put music.
Glorious
is there used any arduino code?
if yes…please,attach this brother
can u some drone with dc motor
How will it fly without remote
how can i made it can you give some idea about it because i am very nervous please help
frame is the CHEAPEST part of all.
motors and esc need money.
Also a controller is about 15 to 150 usd.
lipo batteries needed
in 2012 i have bought a KK2.1.5 controller for about 17usd wich worked for me back then..
it depents on the size on the quad you want and the lifting capability,
if you just want to have fun you can buy a 50usd ready to fly drone.
if you want extra stabillization through GPS then the prize goes too high.
buy one small drone for 50-60usd
For how much you bought all the parts
Awesome video! I just subscribed to your YouTube channel. We would appreciate you to be our follower, too.
how and where can I get all that stufs
sir quadcopter 4 arms size
nice
for how many you brought All it part
hi, don’t mean to bother but where did you buy these pieces for making a drone.
What are the 4 legs mat’l, dimension & thickness assume aluminum- seems even fasteners could be all aluminum legs could have been ported to place in wiring to motors lesson weight and clean up aerodynamics even to have micro hard wires to ends
that’s good
that’s amazing
bro show this on or not? stupid…. means making a helicop but it is not working….
sir can u tell all apparatus list please
Anyone can provide me with the link for part 2 ?
Fly
no. chahiye aapka नो। चाहिए आपका
