In this tutorial I will show you how I build an Arduino based RC Airplane, and also, I will show you how to control it using the custom build Arduino transmitter that I built in one of my previous videos.

Hey guys, I would love to hear your thoughts about this project, especially from you who have experience with building and flying RC airplanes. Please note that this was my first ever experience with building and flying an RC airplane, so any suggestion and advice will be highly appreciated! (I’m gonna need it for v2.0 ?)
Nice project and presentation.
sir you are really a great source of inspiration for us and your videos are just great but sir i needed your help i want to learn embedded programming to program different microcontrollers so can you please tell me from where should i start to reach advance level please sir help
Pls show how to control rc cars using accelerometer
This is my child dream come true. I always wanted to do something like that… ohh boy, this one will try to do definitely
First of all, I think what you did was amazing for a guy who has no experience on RC airplane.
IMPORTANT! DO NOT REUSE BROKEN PROPELLERS. You can hurt someone if you’re unlucky. Go buy a bunch of propellers.
I suggest you can 3D print a joystick that is longer than this black one, to have more percise control(something like those commercial transmitter, a stick shape thing). Compares to only using my thumb, I discovered that with both my thumb and index finger grabbing the joystick I can achive more percise control. Crashing is common in RC airplane, if you feel upset crashing, go fix it and try again, you won’t feel so bad after you’ve crashed a lot of times?
Nice video
Please make an Arduino based Quadcopter. I’m waiting eagerly for the same.
It would be very helpful if you build a Quadcopter with FC and IMU using ur DIY Transmitter and Receiver…
Very cool project congratulations. Forget the aluminum for the reinforcements and the landing gear, try to use rigid wire as piano strings for the landing gear and for the wing reinforcements use fiberglass rods, make wings with dihedral the flight is much more stable. The rear wheel must have a system where it moves along with the rudder to facilitate taxiing the model. The wings should be a little longer, 20 cm should be enough. place the rudder and elevator servos closer to the center of gravity they were too far back. In your transmitter, these video game sticks are very sensitive because they have a small activation course, replace them with radio control sticks, the sensitivity will stay as it should. There is a type of wood used in classic aeromodelling that is light and resistant and perfect for making reinforcements, I don’t know what it is called in English but in Portuguese it is called “Madeira balsa”, just search on google and you will find it. Greetings from Brazil and congratulations on the beautiful project, I hope you don’t get discouraged and sorry for my poor English.
You gained a new sub, this looks so god dam fun to build
please make an arduino quadcopter 😉
Are you from the Balkans ?
I built an arduino RC and a telemetry TX and both of them are using NRF240L01 but different passcode. Where should I put the antennae on the plane?
I’ve watched your videos and as a hobbyist myself I can say that your work is amazing and truly inspirational . thank you !
Plz make a video
How to make 4g network booster with arduino
Buen Video, Greatings from Perú, I have a similar channel, You are a great motivation for me, and my channel.
I have been subscribed for a long time and you have amazing projects.
I am also Rc plane beginner, I had lots and lots of failures to fly RC plane for first time.
coming soon, Boeing will explain how they made the Arduino based 737 MAX ))
you should give some dihedral to your wings for stability
Sir I want to make a drone can you help me with it
Hello @how to mechatronics…
I am a graduate mechanical engineer and now i wanna learn about mechatronics…
Can you please suggest me some courses, youtube channel or books to learn about mechatronics.
And please suggest as a beginner from where to start..
Thank you…
