An edited video for our latest build – the Armattan Chameleon. We had a lot of fun putting this quadcopter together, and hopefully you can have fun watching the process!

Propwashed hey I have a few questions. what kind of glue is that you use for holding your wires? is it just a regular hot glue or is it more flexible? And what was that you used for a smoke stopper? thanks for your input and sweet chameleon video
Sure thing – regular hot glue in black is used here. We have also used liquid electrical tape for some applications, but like the strength of hot glue.
In terms of smoke stopper, check out this article for the full build list, details, and additional options. This model is basically a circuit breaker connected between two XT60 connectors:
Hope that helps!
What song are you playing in the video? Thanks!
Retro Digital – Uppermost
is this the 5inch or 6 inch chameleon?
I was watching your video and I like it, my question is, do you build those for you or you build them to sell them?
We build them for us. The Chameleon is the current daily driver!
i think it’s funny how you skipped the part where you soldered the ESC power cables to the FC, did you pull it all up to do that?
Do you mean the part @ 2:30?
so many haters! I prefer spektrum as well and I think its cool you did something different and enjoy the feel from the under slung battery! If you like it then who cares if anyone else does because they arent flying it every day!
Isn’t this an ultimate FREESTYLE drone?
what receiver are you using ? is your remote control a Taranis ?
Great I want two
I’m trying to remember which radio we used with this build – likely either our Taranis X9D or Spektrum DX18.
Why would you put the battery 9n the bottom. It was made to go on the top
What reciever you using, because i run spektrum too, but dont know which chreap speksat reciever is best and yours looked good
In this build I’m using a LemonRX diversity satellite RX, you can get them from team-legit here in the states for a little over $10. The Spektrum Race Receiver is also a good option.
Build list “link” no worky.
i agree with @QUADBOT FPV you really should have top mounted the battery man thats what the chameleon is designed for. other then that nice build.
I’m very confused here as well. I’m trying to build a Chameleon with BF F3. Followed this video for guidance and was stymied when I got to the part where the power wires to the ESCs were needing to be soldered to the bottom of the FC, but the motors were already attached and the ESCs zip-tied to the arms. My house has too much gravity to get a good angle to solder them without disconnecting everything from the frame and flipping it upside down. ? 2:30 shows soldering the control leads to the top of the FC, but not the power leads to the bottom.
I swear I could smell the lead and burnt flux while you were soldering!!! Is it just me or has anyone else been having too much fun with miniquads lately?
Learn how to solder
It hurts too see that frame go to waste. But still good vid:)
good invention but didn’t u use a radio receiver for the buil
good invention but didn’t u use a radio receiver for the build
Hey James – you can see us programming the RX at 1:56 and mounted later on in the video. Hope this helps!
Its like a drug i cant stop and i need more drones aaaaaww
DRONE review man of all drones HAHAHA Same! I have 2 Lizards, 1 Wizard, and 3 Custom Builds?
He is right this time. That frame went through over a year of testing and design specifically to be top mounted. If it worked better with a bottom mount. It would of been designed to be a bottom mount. You are ruining the CG that was built into the design. Bottom mounted quads flip flop on rolls. Horrible for freestyle and smooth FPV footage . Unless you are Skitzo. Then just NO. Also great build video. But LOS ? Really ? What a waste.
Yep. Stupid decision.
What was the sma cable you used in this build? I can’t find anything similar to what you used that will fit on the chameleon
If I remember correctly, the SMA cable was already connected to the VTX like that. We then secured it to the frame using the nut and washer on the SMA connector. If you want something similar, search Amazon for “SMA extender” or “SMA pigtail”. This should allow you to adapt your VTX to a similar style or extend the SMA connector to the rear of the frame. Hope this helps!
Our latest build – the Armattan Chameleon! What have you built lately?
Worst soldering job I’ve ever seen.

perfect work – http://www.drohnen-versicherung-direkt.de
You’re supposed to mount the battery on top…
DawntreaderUK if he prefers how it flies why not let him do it? Bottom mount batteries are superior for racing. Especially since he said it was for racing.
Good vid, but why you go bottom batt if this frame is for top batt?
Enac?
You need some flux when soldering
That frame…………..?
Nice quadcopter
I guarantee you one of those solders is going to break one day
you can get the Eachine Wizard now with 45% discount from Banggood:
Looks really nice !
Little too heavy for a racer… I wouldn’t race this.. More of a freestyle quad
Hey… Awesome
Even I have a thought to do.. can u help me out
Your soldering skills are terrible!!
can i know how did you programe it
Your battery is supposed to go on top man
Like for song on background
Hay it look So easy… ?
But if ur a dick with electronic and programing then ur f*@€$!÷*..!!! Grrr
I’ve Rebuild… A 1/10 nitro Monster truck-truggy who was sleeping in a floded cave for about 3 weeks..
Very bad soldering :-/
Just putting my Chameleon Ti frame together as we speak. Very nice build. When people pay attention to detail it shows. It looks like it flies like my little Leader 120 with so much power.
That was drone porn
I love OG Chameleon, it has this something to it
it doesn’t really matter as long as its not damaged, a low centre of mass can actally be good.
Pablo Granados some people prefer to have more weight on the bottom because it can give of a clean flow when doing a tight turn. Some people prefer to fly like this. Especially racers, I have friends who do this to there frames because they are stronger than most racing frames as they are built to be super Light. So they still get there nice feeling when fly like normal but get the benefits of a stronger frame.
