I have an Autel EVO. No geofencing. I have a Part 107 certificate, so I am careful to check air space and obtain authorization when required. But, I care to be treated as a responsible adult by the vendor that has taken my consumer dollars. Another good rant.

Extenuating circumstances allow grey area use of anything. Get them to have a supervising officer call you they would have a contact. I have given VPD officers goggle view of flying a few times.
I hate it when the authorities don’t know the laws. I try to educated them whe I come across them, in a nice way though LOL.
Yeah, I live in one of those blue authorization zones! Last year when the Mavic Mini was released it had the same problem, I couldn’t take off as soon as the drone realized where it is, it would just force me to land or not take off at all! DJI fixed it within 2 weeks, so hopefully they’ll be quick thus time also. My Mini 2 Fly More Combo with 1 year DJI Care Refresh package is chilling under the Christmas tree until Christmas this year. So they better fix it by Christmas..
