DJI Phantom 4 vs Phantom 3 – Speed Test03:09

All of these videos are odd to me I could hit 60+ with little to no wind on my P4.

I hit 61 mph with wind

Great test ken. I work for the MTA filming bridges with p4 watching work related progress. My p4 has plenty of speed but needs more power in the wind. Geo Washington Brg hard place to fly.

Like the P4, as a relatively new drone user (3 months) I started with the P3 Standard, now that I’m used to flying in ATTI mode I managed to get 58.6mph out of it briefly with a fair old tail wind. Theres no way I’d do speed tests that low to the ground, I was around 200ft, turbulence from it’s own downdraft could be affecting speed that low.

Fun video though, I’d do the same but none of my friends fancy me flying at them – can’t think why 😉

I hit 70mph on p4 with carbon fiber props!

Down here in Australia my P4 standard in sport mode with a Southerly wind behind it wound out to 87.9kph or 54.6mph in US money.

Iv hit 52 mph on the p4. The trick is to have the wind behind it. Don’t fly in more than 15 mph wind tho because things will get tricky when the battery gets below 25 %

You’re supposed to take an average of two opposite directions to account for wind. That’s how they do it at Bonneville.

This is a little miss leading. Your distance didn’t look like enough for them to get up to max speed. Max speed on the P4 is 45 mph and in the 50’s with a strong tail wind.

You’re comparing apples to oranges. P3P = ATTI vs P4 = Sport Mode. The P3P will fly about 36 MPH.
