OK. I’ve always wanted to do this since I got my first quadcopter (5 months ago). So I had a buddy drive me around while I piloted a couple quadcopters from the passenger seat. Just wanted the experience and also to see how fast they really go. It seems like they go pretty fast while buzzing around the field but not so much when clocking them from a chase car. Got the LaTrax Alias up to 25 mph and the Hubsan X4 up to 22.
GREAT! now i would like to see them do this test with the MICRO WAREHOUSE motors.
Thanks, JP. As a disclaimer, I built this particular Alias from parts, most of which are Traxxas OEM except for the motors which are the under $4.00 V959 motors from Banggood. If Micro Motor Warehouse EVER gets their custom Alias motors back in stock I’ll pick some up and rerun the test. I wonder if there really is a difference in performance.
cool

Cool !
Thats the GPS navigation of the future!!!
+Alex Rose LOL
+Ziggabug Were you flying FPV or line of sight?
+Alex Rose Back then, that was line of sight. I hadn’t gotten into FPV just yet. That would be fun, though. I’ll have to try it. 🙂
