This tiny nano camera drone is a surprisingly fast and maneuverable little quadcopter with great range. If you were considering the Cheerson CX-10C, I would recommend that you reconsider 😉 Find it here http://shrsl.com/?~awq8
Pro’s
– Although only 0.3MP resolution, this quadcopter’s camera actually takes nice vide.
– FAST little nano. It has very good pitch and power to make it one of the fastest nano quadcopters.
– Maneuverable too, with three varied selectable rates of pitch and maneuverability.
– Stable flier, good for aerial video purposes.
– Tiny and lightweight. Exempt from FAA registration.
Con’s
– Does not have headless mode or one key return.
– Internal non swappable battery (common for most nano quadcopters)
– Needed microSD memory card and card reader are NOT included.
and here’s my flight with it.

the camera-less version is a really nice strong outdoor flier ….looks like camera version is a good outdoor flier too …..does well in a breeze as well
Your a good pilot, i wonder if i could be that good.
If you were stranded in a desert island what quad would you most want to have?
A working phone
I hate you..The DAY I buy a cheerson you wanna upload this…? Wow
Your videos are amazing! Keep putting out the GREAT Content! 🙂
The video quality was surprisingly good with no wobble.
+jzornthgrt same
is there a difference between bayangtoys x5c-1 and bayangtoys x8.
And i heard you recommend the x8 over the syma x5c-1, but after the issues the x8 has been having, would you still recommend the x8?
Also i live in Vancouver, Canada, how long would ship time be if i order from gearbest. And finally what is the actual price? is it the red number, that may sound stupid but why would they do such a huge discount?
Hi i’m new to quad copters I really don’t know which one to buy I have $100 to spend on one but it must have FPV already installed into it and suggestions?
Out of all of the micro quads out there which one would you recommend? Would it be this one?
+Benjamin Clayton The FQ777 124 is still my number 1 nano quad. But this is a close second.
not bad for camera
Thanks for all the great reviews Quadcopter 101! You strongly influenced my last two quad purchases (Syma X11 & X8c) & now it looks like you have me considering a third one :D! Any chance you might put up more of the RC101c cam footage?
Expert mode at the controller consumes more energy than begginer mode? Thank you for your videos!
Does it have better motors than the CX10C? It looks a lot better and its about the same price
I have the original Cheerson CX-10c which is good enough for me lol.
Nice
The rc groups thread are saying the bayangtoys x5c and X8 are the same quad. There is only a slight cosmetic change to the transmitter. I bought the X8 and after receiving the proper 2.0mp camera am very satisfied. It is a very stable easy flyer with good range (>100m range). Build quality of the quad and transmitter is excellent. It is my go to toy quad if I want to take video. Price is approx. 37 US. Recently ordered another one for $30 US on a flash sale at GEARBEST.
I live in Toronto and got it in 3.5 weeks. You might do better in B.C. since they come in through Vancouver.
One with strong enough motors and range to carry me home.
Buy something small and cheap to learn to fly first. I recommend the fq777-124 (indoor use only)or Global Drone GW008. Then buy an eachine H8 mini. Once you learn to control the H8 mini you will be ready for anything.
@N C Pellegrini lol yeah she will, wedding anniversary gift from her 😛
+Anthony Eaglebarger (toysoldier46552) what’s a good Quad to start with for beginners in your opinion?
+N C Pellegrini Thanx
@godzonly1 Total beginners? Grab the Syma X5C it is what I learned to fly on which I still have it it is on its second set of motors and now probably just needs to be replaced but I still have it, canopy never broke on me and it took maximum altitude falls to pavement never even batted and eye and was able to be put right back in the air after that crash, which is on my channel it was a night flight. Hope this helps.
Thx man that really helps…jus stumbled on to this hobby and I’m already addicted lol, ready to get started but I’ve heard & seen the horror stories of ppl buying a more advanced (and expensive) quad only for it to crash and they end up wasting money.
@godzonly1 The Syma is about 60 bucks, good price point and is very stable.
Just bought this for my wife thanks to your review. Looks like a fun little quadcopter!
Have you ever lost a Quad on camera? If so, what’s the link?
+qazqa5 No, sorry. I’ve only lost two quads, and both were tiny micro’s. The first was the HT F803. Apparently its motors do not shut down if you fly out of range. One day I flew it too high out in the desert and it flew away in the direction of the mountains, never to be seen again. This quad RIP
The second quad I lost was a JXD 392. I was doing long distance flying over my childhood neighborhood when a gust of wind came and took it away to parts unknown. Here’s an earlier flight before it too became a caualty 😉
This or RC Leading RC101W ?
1:22 Card reader?
+Welder Nate It’s a USB plugin device that you can insert the SD memory card into to allow downloading of the quadcopter’s video to your computer
+Welder Nate This (101C) flies MUCH better than the 101W, and produces much better recorded video. The WiFi transmitter of the 101W weighs it down too much, greatly degrading its flight performance (along with reducing flight time to power the transmitter). The 101C also has much greater range than the 101W as there is no WiFi interference with the controller.
Oh I don’t use the usb ones, I use the SD card readers.
does it have prop guards for indoor flying?
+Tyler Larg No it does not come with prop guards.
+Gimp Man Hahaha. Awesome.
Where can I get spare propellors for the drone??
+xbox 62 CX-10 propellers should work.
+Quadcopter 101 thank you so much!! ?
P.s I love your videos
+Quadcopter 101 hi, one more question, I was wondering if it is worth getting a CX-10 guard as well??
@xbox 62 Yeah, New fliers tend to crash this a lot. Prop guards may provide additional protection to minimize potential for breaking it in a hard crash.
+Quadcopter 101 Thanks for all your help?
how much more $$$ does this one cost compared to the cheerson cx 10c
+Kyle Leggott This
RC101C is much better flier.
wow thank you for such a quick reply
I love your videos and thanks for the help
Got this from Gearbest with a 4GB SDHC Card and a Card Reader, and surprisngly, it’s a Class 4 card. WOW! This thing is just awesome for it’s size! Must have over the CX10C. Great vid btw. and yes i watched your vid +Quadcopter101 thus i decided i go over the CX10C,after i got the CX10 later i can’t take the hands off of this little thing here 🙂
+Slide “Slidey” Rider I agree. The RC101C is virtually unknown, but IMO the best nano camera Quadcopter currently available.
@Quadcopter 101
Indeed, barely seen any videos of it with detailed reviews some test flights here and there.Just took it out for a flight, 6 minutes 25 seconds w/o camera on.I’m just wondering, is the LiPo getting better or what (confused) haha. Cheers
hello,
after seeing this video i have bought this quadcopter. The first time i just plugged it in for 25 min and turned it on. It did function properly and it was a lot of fun.
But after playing twice it won’t charge anymore… I cannot quite rember if the red light on the charger should burn when it is charging. this light is also on when the quad is not plugged in. I leave the quad off when charging. I looked inside and there was a wire loose. Now i know that this is the antenna so nothing seems broken. what could be wrong?
Thanks in advance,
cody
+ocdy1001 official The light should go out when you plug in the charger indicating that charging is occurring. And the light will relight once charging is completed. But if the light is not going out when you plug into the quadcopter, then check the pins inside the quadcopter’s charging slot to make sure that none are bent.
Thanks for the advice. I went behind the switch and wiggeld some stuff around with a screw driver to check for loose connections. Now the light does go out on the cable when connected but it start glowing stronger over time when charging. When done charging i can fly it for 5 seconds before the battery runs out… What else could there be wrong? thanks again.
@ocdy1001 official Did you try the cable from the other airplane?
What other airplane? i just have one quad, the 101c
@ocdy1001 official I’m sorry. There was another person having a similar issue with an RC airplane. I accidentally confused you with him.,
HI, has anyone ever found suitable spare parts for the RC101C in the US? Are the propellers or motors from the Cheerson cx 10 compatible? Thanks! +Quadcopter 101
Thanks for the video. I just purchased one of these, it came with the memory card (4gb)and the card reader for $23…
NOT TO SEEM STUPID. BUT I DIDN’T THINK THE LITTLE COPTERS COULD FLY THAT GODD OR THAT HIGH. I AM IMPRESSED. THANKS FOR SHOWING ME THIS. I WANT ONE. 🙂
+ezbme THAT IS CHEAP. I HOPE IT WORKS WELL.
+Brian Bogle Yea, so do I! I am still waiting for it, coming to the US from the Netherlands…
I bought this nano drone a little while ago, after watching this video. Thanks for making these awesome videos! I just wish I had your flying skills.
The manual says that the trim button is the button that points down. What does the button right about that do? Do they both function as a trim button?
I’m also interested in finding compatible parts. Let us know if you’ve found any.
That camera is just so jittery…
I just got one of those. The question is, how long it takes to charge the drone for the first time? It’s been taking a while, but the indicator lamp in the USB cable just not turning off, and the drone still cant take off. Help please.
I like it but how can I see what I’m recording and which way ?
and how is it and how long did it take till it got to the netherlands?
hope you’ll reply, not sure if i should buy this
just stop smoking jibb and your jittery eyes will mellow
dude wtf
I’m seriously at the point to where I’m about to just crush this little piece of shit… Mine won’t fly I’m inside and I barely give it throttle and it starts flipping out of control no matter how gently I try and do it and no matter what mode I’m on, I’ve read the instructions 3 different times but it’s like my controls don’t work or something…
Don’t break it, it’s simple to fix. Flipping means that one or more of the propellers are not installed properly. Take a close look. There should be two clockwise shaped/spinning, and two counterclockwise spinning. If installed on a wrong turning motor, propeller will blow air upward instead of down, and the quadcopter will flip over on takeoff (or not takeoff at all). You or the factory may have installed the wrong prop on the wrong motor. Take a close look at the following picture, paying close attention to the shape of the propellers and which motors they are installed on. Make yours match the picture.
Quadcopter 101 nope mines a POS… it is how it came and this is the most frustrating little thing I’ve ever messed with, just gonna take it back and find another hobby.
How do you charge this?? With switch on or off position???
off
Which is much better. Sky viper nano drone m200 or that
My SD card doesn’t fit all the way in 3/4 sticking out is something wrong with 1 I bought?
Jamesgeorgevella Vella no mine does it as well, do you know how to take propellers off? I have tons of hair stuck in my and I would also like to put in the prop guards? Thanks
harrison-128 128 found out they don’t take SD card as records on phone. with blades just pull straight off I pry with a knife to get off
I thought I got c version but it was WiFi and could control with phone as well
im buying right now!!!!!!!!!! OMG
Quadcopter 101 huh. Mine did.
So, besides recording, you can use the camera to view in real time? This might sound like a stupid question, but I have never had a drone, nor have I played with one. But if you can use that small little camera to see in real time, I’m gonna buy 3!
+jack suquett no you can not. Not with this one. But there are some that do use your phone to view the video real time. Look for FPV in the title.
can you say the model of it
Where is this product
Can you tell me size of motor used in it. My drones one motor is damaged so I want to buy spare for it….
