Happy flying!
I like the kingkong items, i have used the packs from hobby king, you get
all the power kit for your quad ( 4 of everything) and it uses the mini
CC3D control ( which i flash to cleanflight ) makes a nice cheap quad build
for friends who are first starting. link below.

why would you say anything over 25mw has a tough time?
I want separate arms
Excellent review sir! Well done 🙂 The package looks quite nice.. I agree..
No reall work on it Needed 🙂
Cheers & have a good weekend
what about to setup damped light in these esc’s? I realized that my motors
started to twitch if I did that. thanks
I bought the GT as my first Acro quad in June. It flew great and the i6S
radio is still being used today. The usb port snapped off the second time I
plugged it in, and the camera was horribly misaligned on pdb.. I’m still
using the motors in another Quad, but the ESCs started desyncing under 4S
power so I threw them. As good as it was. The X220 wizard blows this thing
away in price and parts and setup. I still use the GT frame but with
different kit.
This quad deserved a review the first time it came out on the market. At
the time it was a very interesting package considering what other RTF
options were available.
I asked a few reviewers for a video about this one but no success. I Even
got into an argument with AndyRC because at the time he was reviewing the
Floureon 250 racer and saying it would be much better than this. Rubish!…
Lost interest in his channel after that.
those motors compares to the higher priced ones ?..can you give us your
honest opinion regarding this motors pls ..they worth buying ?
I have been flying this frame since June or so and unfortunately it has
one flaw: the back of the topplate extends over the back of the
bottomplate. It really doesn’t take that much to bend the aluminum
standoffs due to this. Already went through my 2nd set.
I am not sure if the standoffs got bent solely due to this, or if 6 of
those are just not strong enough to take the force of an HD-cam and 4s
1300mAh Lipo when crashing, but considering in which direction they
were bent I think it’s due to the topplate.
The 210 charpu edition has additional carbon-plates left and right to the
cam, something like this probably would’ve been beneficial to this frame
too, since it would’ve taken some of the force off of the standoffs.
Still I liked it and the bending was not severe, it only became a problem
when I worked on the quad and had to remount the topplate: needed another
person so that I could push the standoffs and the other person could screw
the screws back in 😀
From the video it looks like the distance under the PDB is high enough to
get a battery strap under there. So mounting the battery to the bottom
would be possible and likely completely nullify this “issue”.
I bought the Kingkong 210gt as my first acro quad (Just had a toy micro
with self leveling before). It was delivered early October and I’ve put
just over 250 batteries through it since (I’m anal enough to keep a
spreadsheet of all my battery cycles). I’ve been really happy with it so
far. I think I paid £180ish from HK. I’ve been flying LOS until I got
goggles very recently. I have learnt to fly acro with it and flying Los, I
feel that I’m at a pretty good standard now. So 250+ packs in… I’ve
absolutely hammered this many many crashes particular to start. This is my
thoughts; I bought the “x” frame quad, but also bought a kingkong 210gt “H”
frame (frame only) I managed to snap both rear arms on the x frame
bottoming out really hard from a 40ft powerloop. Although it had taken many
hard impacts into the ground before that. the X frame has slots cut in the
Base for no obvious reason where the rear arms meet the centre section that
makes this a real weak point and it is where it broke. The H frame however
doesn’t have these slots, again this has taken even more of a beating and
is still fine. (some delamination of Cf round the motors but I didn’t CA
the edge). I believe the design makes this much stronger. I’ve had serious
crashes where I expected this to have snapped and it’s been fine. I have
bent the stand offs but easily replaced and I can’t see them being any
different on another frame. One issue I did have was that the Rx antennas
thread through the top plate, I added a thin piece of rubber for the
battery to sit on without pressing on the antennas, however I did have a
bad crash and the battery pressed it onto the frame and cut through it! I
would recommend re threading these to start so it’s not over the top plate.
I’ve now swapped my reciever for a flysky s-bus one much less wires and
even for a newb was easy to set up. As a minor point the battery strap was
no good so I used a Turnigy Graphene 200mm one. I have now sanded the
corner off the top plate in the slots the strap threads through as it was
sharp enough to cut through one in a crash. It’s quite hard to thread the
battery strap under the top plate without taking it off anyway, so may as
well do it at the same time. So far this has been a great first mini quad
for me and I would really recommend it for anyone starting out. I’ve been
running Turnigy Graphene 3s 1,300mha 65c with Kingkong 5x4x3 props.
Hi mate, I didn’t mail you cause I don’t want to bother you but I’m
wondering if you would like to take a look at my fb page, I draw fpv frames
and maybe we can talk about that, this is the link:
https://www.facebook.com/farinsframes/ thanks for the help and continue
with your videos cause your great!!
i bought this quad and am not disappointed with it. very stable and lots of
power. the props are also very tough. only downside was the video
transmitter which is poor quality and snapped off in a crash.
