================================
Now, second day of speed tests and reaching 108 km/h (67 mph) on a tight area. Acceleration is astonishing but need to work on tuning (more TPA to reduce vibrations at high throttle to start with). We already have improvements for higher speed (will we reach the 130 km/h / 81 mph ?? Wait and see…

Can I test a unit out? :D
+OC_AirWolf Where are you located?
+Pau Mallol I am located in Orange County, CA. Really interested in the
tilt arm. 😀 There is a meetup at the end of the month and Steadidrone will
be demoing their product. If you guys are around maybe you can stop by for
a demo.
That is very cool. I am really liking this technology. Is tilt mechanism
governed by FC or is it an additional system working in unison?
That is fast.
+deepimpact.io Right now the tilting mech is governed by a separate board
with our custom, open source code, connected in between the Rx and FC but
we are already working on implementing it in Cleanflight! For those not
running Cleanflight, we believe we will keep the original idea: use a
separate tiny board in between Rx and FC so that you can run it on ANY FC.
+byron ortiz Thanks. We reached our first milestone of a 100 km/h system
with no diving, now focusing more on the control part.
Nevertheless, provided it is a 330 quad with 6in props and over 1kg AUW in
the tests (due to all extra hardware and 3300 mAh 70C battery), we are sure
we/you will be able to go faster! Already ordered two more power systems:
for X4 1500kv on 7 and 8in props AND X8 on 6in props. Besides, AUW in the
commercial version will go down to around 800gr according to our calcs.
Put all this together and get ready for FPVing a missile!
Nice good luck. I will be following your progress. +Pau Mallol

Thanks mate. We’ve just published a canopy design competition. Check it
out:
So cool had to come back for another look. Does this fly like a traditional
quad or are there some different characteristics on the sticks? How about
some onboard footage?
+DriveFlyRc I’m just editing this weekend’s flights. You’ll like the next
video… promise!!! 😉
It is just so unreal watching that thing launch straight forward from hover
instead of the typical tilt :)
+Forck-In Quad And flying it feels even better, honestly. We are looking
forward to get feedback from other pilots as I’m the only one flying it
right now and I might be a bit biased… haha

so they turn with your throttle or what? a servo?
+Bauss A servo rotates both arms at the same time. The servo is controller
by the flight controller: right now the code necessary is on Cleanflight.
Our code, unlike others I’ve seen, compensates for the yaw/roll interaction
that appears when you tilt the motors (dynamically or just fixed tilt) over
10-15 degrees. We also manipulate the throttle response in the FC
algorithms for more stable, and easy, flight yet super fast.
We are launching our site in a couple of days, check out http://www.tiltdrone.com
