This is my first go with the mx400 but i love it already, probably would have been best to
not use the gopro for the maiden flight but i couldn’t resist, its ok with the gopro but it descends much better without it.

I used one of the sticky backed brackets stuck to the underside of the
battery holder/plate and the gopro can then be just clipped on and off,
your right about it not clearing the skids fully though, with the gopro
upside down the start/stop button can get pressed if not carefull on
landing, you could put bigger rubber stoppers on the ends of the skids to
raise the hight a bit, you only need maybe 10mm more hight.
Hi, I recently bought an MX400 and now it barely has power to take off;
I’ve reset the radio, try new batteries. What could it be limiting motors’
full RPM and its power capabilities? Thanks, Pedro
My first guess would be a battery issue, try a new one to see if it helps,
maybe you’ve cooked yours flying too long
Thanks for the advise. The power problem got solved when I stopped oiling
the bearings…
@RCHELIBUG could i use this quad as my 1st rotary rc? (I have experience in
rc planes) but i have had countless hours of practice with helis on
realflight basic. (i cant do 3d, but u kno what i mean) but wud u reccomend
this for a beginner, if i get one i will get some cheap gimbal and mount
some sony digital cam on it to get sum cool arials. i dont mean to be a

Yeah you should be fine, not as easy as planes but easier than heli’s.
you mean you over oiled the bearings? you are lucky the motors did not
burn! I thought your power problem was caused by the ESCs.
Hi RCHELIBUG, thanks for all the good info. Question: the blades come off
often and recently I lost two of the motor bearings, do you know where I
can get them without having to buy a new entire motor? Thanks.
If you like that Quad take a look at the Flame wheel 450 it is great. you
did a good job.
Sorry about that, i know the motor tops do just pop off but not heard of
them coming off in flight, its worrying, i might see about fitting some
e-clips to secure them, not sure why walkera didn’t in the first place, i’m
not sure where you could get the bearings, you may have to just replace the
motor/s, i might even look in to replacing the motors with some better ones
with more punch.
Thinking about it, could it be because of you oiling the bearings?, i
noticed your comment below, maybe its the oil thats made them too loose, i
wouldn’t have thought you needed to on a brand new quad.

The motor does not come apart during flight but when it crashes and you are
right, the bearings go flying because of the oil. I’ll keep looking for
them! Thanks .

Yeah, too much oil, too much crushing… Wish could find the ball-bearings
with a magnet next time.
Do you have wich transmitter because the start looks unstable, if you have
devo 7 or devo 8 S, I suggest you to progra your dualrates, “elevator”
Position 0, 60% dual rates, and +100% exponential, “aleiron” Position 0,
60% dual rates, and +100% exponential, “rudder” 90% dualrates -80%
exponential, that will give you a soft flying, but capable to resist winds,
and good speed rudder.
It was my first go and it just needed trimming out at first as it was
drifting backwards so i was jabbing forward which is when it looks
unstable, its a devo8 with telemetry module i’m using so basically a
devo8s, thanks but i have all my settings how i like them now, your setup
sounds too soft to me.

Hey RCHELIBUG What FC=(Flight Control board) does this thing have or is it
some Walkhera integrated-proprietary thing? Its ok if it is because Walkera
makes a lot of good stuff and I would trust it. You looked a bit nervous
when you 1st took off but you were flying like a Rock-star in just a few
secs. I have a F450 FW that flies like ASS because I have the old KK1 FC.
Now I wish that I would have bought the DEVO8 but I was afraid that it
couldn’t lift my payload weight. What size (kv) motors?
Thanks, yeah its just a walkera all in one job and works well but its not a
patch on my dji naza , the devo8 is a great radio though and i use it on my
dji naza, the walkera motors are 760kv i believe.
id love to know why this video got so many dislikes, if people dont like it
thats fair enough but let me know what you dont like rather than just

Ok thanks, being the maiden flight i just wanted to show the quad, the
gopro footage is on another video which i mention at the end of the video.
Bad video footage….. it’s hard to have good perspective about what is
going on because the camera is zoomed in too close.at about 1:10 the
perspective is right and then the camera operator goes back to stamp
inspection.
i gave it a thumbs up… nice rig you got there!

You asked why you had thumbs down…. it wasn’t a personal attack, just
honest feedback on what’s wrong with the video. Perspective is everything
in video. It’s probably why you are only getting 6K views/mo. Of course,
what do I know…. I only had 28K views last month on my videos and average
$60/mo in earnings.
My response wasnt aimed at you, was just saying people are very sad if
thats the reason for disliking the video. As for you getting more views
than me thats probably because your videos are of a completely different
subject to mine, il take your word for it that you get 28k views to my 6K
but if thats right then somethings wrong with your earnings because i get
an average of $90 a month, my last payment was £105 or around $150.
Is the copter not very stable or is it the pilot?
Depends on your idea of stable?, its no dji, it is my first ever go with a
quadcopter though so it could be that.
What’s the average flight time with go pro mounted?
With a 2200mah 3s anything from 5 to 10mins depending on how hard you fly.
Does the Walkere or Devo 8 come in a box ready to fly like the DJI Phantom?
Or is a degree in technical knowhow advised before ordering?
I bought mine rtf with devo8s so yes its just like the phantom in that
case, id say the phantom is a better choice though, i now have a dji f450
and fly it with my devo8s.
