Do a manual flip in 6G mode and it will go inverted.
need to bind it to your xk x251 controller then you can adjust everything
and access 3D mode. also this thing flies fantastic in the Wind! did a
side-by-side comparison with the new blade nano 2 FPV quadcopter in almost
20 mile an hour gusts of wind. blade kept losing altitude and falling out
of sky XK had absolutely no problem at all and was a blast to fly even in
windy conditions! Have upcoming 3D video and unboxing on the way. but you
did beat me to the punch on the unboxing and great job by the way!
won’t believe how much nicer it is with the x251 controller!
Transmitter looks exactly the same to XK X250, if that’s the case then it
DOESN’T support Futaba protocol
Thanks for the info guys! I’ll be revisiting this one again with the X251
tx bound up.
Have you tried 3d mode using either high or low rates? Also, try just
starting it up from upside down. You can bind the x100 with the X7 TX. Bind
button is in the lower right of the battery bay. Much better…at least for
me…
this is also a great night flyer leds illuminate prop guards really well.
x350 tx works great also. Hope someone finds some good props for fast non
inverted flying. Great review as always. Tiny leds but really bright.
To get into real 3D acro mode you have to push the right stick down in 3D
mode then push the left button down. Be very careful because now the top
half of the throttle now controls the quad when it is upright and the
bottom half when it is upside down so you have to center the throttle as
soon as you push the left button. Be very careful because it flew back and
hit me because I had never flew in 3D mode before.
can you use this Transmitter with the x 251?
By the way. My leg got cut up a little (more than expected) from that house
leg crash in the video. These props are sharp and will draw blood even with
the prop guards so please be careful :)
when you put it in 3d negative throttle would have kept it in the air
positive throttle will drive it into the ground that’s why when you put it
in 3d mode it went down when the throttle was up.
very nice review like friend
If I’m not mistaking you’re supposed to turn the tx on always first. Then
the quad. Unless is stated on the instructions. Great videos. Keep them
coming. Big fan!!!
gonna put quanam fpv on this thanks Dustin
it seems that controller is quite complicated lol ….glad i got the BNF
version
Great review, with the right remote I think this one is a keeper.
I have the udi u27 ordered looking forward to that one. What do you think?
UDI U27 vs XK X100
Buyers beware, xk is known for changing drastically the characteristics of
their quads (I’m looking at you x251!) so this may or may not even have
acro or 3d mode when you get it.
Hi Dustin,. you did a review on the Email Nighthawk 200 frame about 4months
ago and said you was going to do a build video with it. is there any chance
that will happen. I was waiting but it never showed up. I did watch the
video the woman Zoe that flies freestyle made but I was hoping to see your
build also.
Cool looking little quad, I like the lights. Thanks for the review.
Hi, be careful the frame is not durable. :(
I’m seeing an off load voltage of 3.1v or 3.2v after a flight, which seems
way low. Also when I did a first time motor break in the CCW motors
wouldn’t spin until I applied about 20% throttle, and then required even
more to keep spinning, with more than 30% required after about 2 minutes.
The CW motors were spinning with just 5% throttle. Most of my other micro
brushed quads only required 7-8% throttle for a break in, and show a no
load voltage of 3.7v or so at/after LVW/LVC. Has anyone else seen this type
of behavior on the X100? As far as I can tell from my initial flight the
quad seems to fly fine in 6G other than a little wobble in hard turns.
You should try the nano qx 3d I’ts the balls!
thanks Dustin, after I watched a woman do that build I said to myself I
think I’ll try the Nighthawk 200 for my very first build. I bought a
Taranis Plus now I have to get all the parts for the Nighthawk. Already
have all the tools.
what is 6g mode?
surely you have to set up the quad according to the book if you want land
where you take off from and do “follow me” mode.
would my xk250 controller work with this quad?
if you have the x250 and you buy the x100 bnf they will not bind I have two
x250s and none of my x4 transmitter’s bind because they are not ftr
Ordered one today. Can’t wait.
I use Hel-Max 1sq props for this one – they are slightly larger and more
durable, less sharp.
hi there, could i use the transmitter from the x250 alien? they look
exactly alike but the fact that the alien tx uses the wl toys protocol not
futaba might pose a problem. thanks a million.
I’m wanting to learn how to fly acro with no self-leveling doing flips and
don’t want to risk messing up my expensive racing quads would you recommend
this for practice or something else?
the fin on the bottom is so you can start flying upside-down
hey, great video as always, thanks and keep em coming. question. will my x7
transmitter work with this unit. the x7 came with my xk x251. thanks
sorry I know this one will. I ment to ask about the xk x250 alien. if my x7
TX will work with th xk x250 alien.. thanks..
Looks like XK is having the best blowout sale they have ever had to date.
Great opportunity to pick up what you’ve had your eye on for cheap:

How to do a manual flip? Is it only in Arco mode.?
