Xclass is a new and exciting type of drone racing that is set to bring our sport into the mainstream. For a sport to gain traction it has to be entertaining to spectators. Pilots who actually fly these mini quads cannot get enough. However, for a spectator the experience can be less than thrilling. They are too small to really be of interest to most people from a 3rd person perspective. Unless you are in the goggles it doesn’t get the blood racing. Well Xclass will change all of that. The machines are MASSIVE in size (32 – 47 inches across). They are fast (100+ mph), powerful, loud, and give the sense of danger. All these things make for very exciting racing.
In this video we show a cool feature of the machine, try some new motors out on an old tune, and put in two flight tests. The last flight comes with a very exciting surprise ending!

That flies very well. I was thinking while watching the video that it would be bad to land on that grass with all those puddles. Sorry to see the ESC blow like that but thanks for the research and development to help push the hobby forward.

Those big quads sure are awesome, but for begginers taking a 120$ hit for a single esc is wayyy too much. The Hero 7 stabilization is crazy good!!!

These quads don’t make sense flying fpv. Get the same experience from a quad a fraction of the size and price. The same? – actually you get a better experience on the smaller, cheaper option. What is the point? Hope you don’t kill someone….

I won’t say I told you because I didn’t but…
it sparked idk bout a fire..
right off the start i didnt like the setup, carbon fiber is conductive, and those esc’s / wires just looked too close , i mean i dont know what happened, but i would want that stuff insulated well with as much voltage 12s has – looks like the only thing between the carbon and the escs is maybe a foam piece of tape ( im guessing here ) – that stuff under strong g-forces can move around, and being that its not insulated , it wouldnt take much at all to short // make sure things are insulated better // just my advice — great vid tho – awsome build man
