when i saw the kid i was sure she was going to sing let it go :)
I like the way you did that! :D
Nice build video however, if the mobius camera operates on 5 volts and
battery puts out 12 volts. Are use using regulator to avoid frying mobius
camera.
Great build, cute kids. Mine drive me crazy, too.
thanks mate… they make me tick love them
Where do you download your setup for your kk2.1.5 board?
hello, because you place two cameras?
one for goggles… and the other for recording
ok tanks
So you arent using a Power Distribution Board? What are the benefits?
Im new to this and ordered my parts already. Just wondering if i
should/shouldnt use the PDB its gonna come with. Im new to soldering as
well. Not sure which route is the best for me there.
PDB isn’t essential. I’ve just built my first quad and didnt use it.
PDB’s are also hard to squeeze on to a 250 sized frame like this one, there
can also be a risk of it shorting out if it gets wet.I’m new to soldering
too but it’s not that hard.
plus not much space for PDB and you have to isolate it because carbon fibre
conducts electricity
Nice! I have followed your video and built my first mini zmr250 recently –
thanks! I have one problem though – yours shows great thrust but mine does
not.. I use 5/3 props and tried to fiddle with calibration and throttle
curve but doesnt seem to help. I see you used 6′ props? and are these 6/4?
5/3 should still be fine as it seems from different videos… I also read
that one of my motors might be faulty and cause this problem. Any advice
how to diagnose a faulty motor? I use dys 1806 2300 kv with 35c 1500mAh
battery and emax 12A simonk esc on openpilot cc3d board and zmr250 chinese
set. Thanks!

Thanks, will give it a try

Hi again,
So I used a scale with some extra weight and attached each motor separately
and did a thrust test on each motor. OpenPilot soft allows to test output
for each separate motor and they all showed around 200-210 grams pull
(using 6045 propellers). On hobbyking test video (
) the same motor
shows twice the drag with 5030 gefman props… As I tested each motor
separately does it indicate the bad soldering on harness? The general hover
level I reach now at around 60% of my “straight line” thrust curve. Thanks
for any tip 🙂
+Qahjk
BTW motors got HOT quickly on full thrust…maybe it tells you sth…
+Qahjk take the weight off …. motors working too hard … is your lipo
high discharge ?
its a 1500mAh 35c lion power lipo. the whole quad weight’s 508 grams incl
battery.
In the meantime I did some homework:
First I configured each ESC separately. As this increased the drag to 85% I
then checked each motor connected directly to RX bypassing the FC. I get
110% of thrust so I started configuring thrust PIDs and currently 3 motors
work around 110% thrust individually even with FC connected and one is
about 90-95% but when I weigh the whole quad it reaches 1300g pull that is
325 (83%) grams per motor – still a little short.
I plan to recalibrate thrust PIDs, then replace the one weaker motor. Will
let you know if this worked.
Thx
Fantastic build vid…actual….I just bought all the same stuffs, will
start building it this week…first time…
your going to love it mate…
Great kids! Thank you for the video. Your quad turned out nicely.
thanks mate …
This is so cool. Can’t wait until have enough money saved up to build
something like this! Really nice of you to upload the building process like
this. The devil is always in the detail and a video like this is always
really helpful!
it can be a expensive hobby depends on your crashes…. but awesome fun
250 Mini H Quadcopter Scratch Build “how to build” GoPro Hero 4 Black HD:
He does a nice clean, simple build.
Awesome build! Looking at building my own like yours. I’m off to Thailand
soon so need a small quadcopter to take some good aerial photography etc.
What’s the video footage like? Smooth etc? Cheers!
What did you mean by, “all setting on KK2 board are on quadcopter”? what
are your settings?
took the KK2 board off the little quadcopter which was already set up …
so i didn’t need to set it
+Tunu Miah Ok, still would like to know what firmware and PI setting you
are using.
2:10 I hear ya
i have 3 girls and 1 boy even he knows the words …. scared of his
future… worrying :/
After all how much ?
under £200
where can I get information
put some information on description mate
Great vid Tunu, I’m just about to build mine from parts and this has helped
me get a clear picture of how I will proceed. Picked up a couple of good
things from you I might have missed…will be back tomorrow to watch it
again 🙂 Loved the way you were confident that it was all going to work
and just flew it in your work room when you had finished. Thanks for
taking the time to put this on.
have built a few it my time … plus the KK2 board was from my mini quad so
i knew it had all the right settings … hope your doing well on buid
Slowly getting there. I killed the first ESC, the wires touched on the
motor side when I was binding the rx for the first time…I hadnt covered
the solder with the heatshrink because I didnt know if the motor was going
the right way, going fine until I moved the motor 😛 I didnt get any spare
ESC’s either so I’m waiting for another one to arrive…fpv camera turned
up today…only need the vtx (and another ESC) and I’m ready to go…
Oh what a great video on you building your quad , I’m interested in making
one soon that’s a grunty machine there I’ll think ill keep the specs , a
good job well done ! When I seen it fly wow the speed and sound , nice
thanks for sharing enjoyed every minute :)
Really sounds nice!! I’m about to order one myself, but…. Not sure if I
can build it? But I will! May take a few weeks 🙂 boy you make it look
easy!!!
im sure you can do it if i can …. everything i know is from youtube…
search h
“hallstudio” he has in depth how to videos
I’m pulling her hair!!
lol!!! turned out to be a classic
You did a + config for your negative esc leads but two seperate T for the
positive esc leads.. did you do this on purpous, or can you do both as a +
config? (around 13 – 16 minutes). I have my ZMR coming in the mail and
would appreciate any help. Thanks!
all depends on how long your esc wires are …. T connections turn out
bulky sometimes depends on how much space you have available on bottom
plate too
are u indian
This was a really great video. You showed all the details that most build
videos leave off. This will be really helpful when I build a quad soon.
Thanks a lot for posing this video!
What is a good transmitter and reciever for this exact quad I want to build
this and keep everything under 200 including transmitter and reciever or
around 200 thanks! Ps this is the video ive been looking for very good
detail i like it alot!
Hey man could i just use a power distribution board for conecting escs and
battery? Also what charger you reccomend for uk mains for charging lipo?
Nice vid!
At 12:43 where did you put the other positive wire coming from the bottom
left esc? Thanks
awesome .. helped me alot um from sri lanka !
can we make this drone under 150$
Hey i have the same exact welder but i tought it was shitty and worthless,
but if you’re using it, that means is not that bad right after all right?
Thank you to share this video with us, it’s really helpful!
But i have a queston!
First when you tested the motors, than what powers the transmitter?
Few minutes later you have mentioned, that you forgot that!
Or that transmitter was for the fpv?
Thank you!
did you add the long black wires to skip the power distribution board?
How fast would you say it’s able to go?
