It’s time for the 2018 MultiGP Regional Series, and the debate has been rage. Should we allow 6S batteries? Or should they stay limited to 4S and lower? I build a racing quad optimized for high speed 6S racing and discuss my findings and discuss my viewpoint on the debate! Stay tuned, and let me know what you think!

Give Sex…6S a chance…
1900kv@6s = 2850kv@4s. Unless you’re running 2800kv motors, of course it will feel faster.
our local race club uses small gates and technical courses. because of this all of my builds were heavy indestructable and cheap as i was no where near to maxing out the potential of my build and all i really needed to do was to finish. our season ended and i traveled to another meet that was a different dianamic. huuugee gates long open straighaways and 2min format. sooo much fun, almost nobody crashed if you lost it was because you wernt fast enough or like me heavy quad 1300 i just didnt have the juice to get 6 laps after 5 even if i pass the finish line i couldnt finish the course. Their are many up and down sides to both ways of doing it and this year i really want to travel to other chapters. but will probably stay with 4s and experement with 5 and 6 if i can see the avantage. loved your videos and would love to see more on the subject! most important have fun flying!
quick tip on putting xt60 battery connectors on. Shrink the first connection before you solder the second or you could short the battery if you slip.
So funny that you are talking about this, been thinking of doing a freestyle quad with the same motors you have here and trying to get over 5-7 minutes of varied flying and obviously not racing throttle inputs. It will be interesting to see which directions are taken for the sport and the hobby in general as high KV motors were 2017’s darling I wonder if the reverse will be true for 2018? Very interesting to see what will be the pervading trend going forward into the year and the next as well.
the higher the voltage the less IR losses you have. but in order to have higher voltage you need more robust parts. it going to come down to whats the best balance.
Very nice video man!!!
The Ghost its my main racer quad I love it! I’m starting at this so I don’t go that fast, but I wonder if the differences that you are experience are related to the overall weight of your build ? You may want to try a light 4S build and check how it compares. Keep it going man!
14:36 ?
3 days early, now they released the video of the change.
Your really good a making actual educational vids. The info is legit. Your becoming my race yoda. Please don’t stop and thank you.
I vote open!
Good video, clear neutral opinion and comments. Like & sub!
Another great video! I was wondering about the reasons you chose a 6s rig instead of 5s?
it’s funny my vote was just like yours and then eventually changed to no cell limit just like you did. what can i say. i’m resistant to change ! i do think some racers will continue to push setups to barely finish races no matter what the cell limit but that’s common to all racing activities. racers always love the bleeding edge of equipment. i do hope to see this move stimulate more good 6 cell equipment for mini quads
Very cool channel i live everything drone SUBSCRIBED!!!!
That sale price is gone… their price is back up to $30+ now unfortunately
If you say 6S 10 times you’ll start saying success…mmmm
Good discussion as always
6s all the way. 6s is so fun. The speed is unreal
