Acronym and Roborace’s wild vision of what the future of racing could look like02:34

Rising from the industrial surrounds of Brooklyn’s historic Navy Shipyard, Hypefest was the first event of its kind for long-time culture kings, Hypebeast. An eclectic mix of fashion, music, technology and art came together on the banks of the East River for a single weekend, and Roborace sat pride of place in the center of it all with the Robocar Remix project.

In collaboration with designer Errolson Hugh from Acronym, Roborace unveiled a digital vision of where artificially-intelligent motorsport could be in ten years’ time, complete with power-ups, traffic, and drones. Attendees were transported to this world via Robocar VR, our custom, fully immersive experience with motion control by D-Box that simulates racing at speed.

As a part of the project, Acronym designed the custom livery on Robocar and a matching capsule collection, featuring hoodies, T-shirts, and headwear.
