Why do people persist in calling any multi-rotor copter a “drone”? The problem is that the word “drone” has nefarious connotations, and is widely over-inclusive. A drone has autonomy where racing quad-copters have none. An actual drone may be packaged as a car, plane, helicopter, missile, or walking/rolling robot, etc. A drone by definition can navigate it’s environment to some extent or completely without human intervention once tasked.
