Some of the guys got together for some late night uncercover carpark racing and what a blast of a night it was!!! We got so much good footage but I thought this flight deserved to be posted uncut. Jim had an argument with a concrete wall and killed an SS2204 and Strepto tried to make love with the roof and removed his flight camera in spectacular fashion. Later on he tried out the the theory that you don’t need to slow down for speed bumps. The speed bump won. Enjoy and sorry about the sore neck muscles afterwards 🙂

      You need to add small wheels to that quad so it wont matter if you go too
      close to ground, it just turns into rc car for a few seconds 😛 Awesome
      flying mate! i want to see more things like this!

      Do you need the KISS 18A for 4S? I’ve got your name setup, but with 3S and
      some cheap 12A ESCs. I just received the KISS 12A ESCs and am hoping they
      will work fine.

      You the risk of sync issues running 4S with cheap normal esc’s so I can
      only recommend using KISS esc’s. They’re the only esc that has totally
      fixed my sync issues. Love ’em 🙂

      Have i understood correctly that you are using the onboard barometer and
      have set a height limit of 2.5m? I presume you are flying in acro and not
      with horizon hold. Do you set expo settings on your controller?

      The 2.5m bit was just saying how high the roof is. I use a Naze 32 Acro
      which doesn’t have Baro. I don’t run any of that stuff and only fly in
      rate/acro mode. All that other stuff restricts your control and just slows
      you down. I have expo set in my TX.

      Thanks mate, I can’t wait for another meet there. I run 2000 looptime and
      motor_pwm_=490 for the KISS esc’s. I have spent some time tuning the quad
      since, as in this video it only had a rough tune. I could share my current
      pid’s but thy won’t be much good for you unless you run the same setup as
      mine.

      I will probably rebuild me RD230 Mini with KISS 18A and 4S so need a
      starting point hehe.
      Btw, how are the motors holding up ? I got some old SS of same model i
      thought i would try.

      Still needs some work.
      The SS2204’s are holding up great. No issues so far.

      Any chance you have the the FPV CCD camera video from this run? I’d be
      interested in seeing how well the 5.8 performed in such an environment with
      all of the concrete posts? Was it dropping out constantly?

      Sorry, no DVR from this. I had very few issues at all but I run a ground
      station with diversity with a CP and crosshair directional antenna.

      it the zyx-s? trying to do same setup

      It’s just a Spektrum sat cable cut in half and soldered direct to the
      Naze32. GND to GND pin, Signal to pin 4 (from memory) and PWR to the 3.3v
      solder point on the Naze.

      I’m just getting into fpv racing so to get myself feeling what you were
      feeling during that flight, I pulled video out of my computer and plugged
      in into my goggles. I cant tell you how many times my ass puckered up. This
      is going to be fun.

      Haa! What a good idea :). To give you an idea of the angle of the quad,
      the Mobius was mounted at a 30deg upwards angle on the quad.

      Try watching this on your goggles too.

      +Aaron Blackie Lol, this was ages ago when I was still using a Mobius and
      those things are Jello city. That was actually our first trip to the car
      park before it became the “in thing” amongst mini quad pilots. Try this
      newer edit for less jello and better quality. Bit faster too 🙂
