True innovation by TBS!
But we should not forget that Flarm is not very reliable.
We use Flarm in pretty much every glider in Sweden, and I believe it has avoided quite a few close encounters. However, frequently other Flarm equipped aircraft in close proximity do not show up on the Flarm and therefore it should not be fully trusted on.
This is a step forward in the right direction, but I do not think it’s enough to fulfill our dream to fly drones amongst other manned aircraft.

Nice, a good step in the right direction for sure…but wasn’t this already done almost 3 years ago….by FLARM? Maybe not quite as advanced, but ..

They would have thrown the rule book at you (even though you are pioneering a new system to stop collisions).
The UK are to introduce an exam and proficiency test for drone flyers that have drones over 250 grams

good idea, but the thing is: flying fpv out of sight is still illegal here in switzerland, so 99% won`t be using this legally. And as you guys, if there is a close up, you probably start hunting them and trying to get close for a nice shot. Without the flarm you wouldnt have even noticed it.
