The first look at the newly released DJI FPV Combo – This video covers pretty much everything from unboxing through to working out how to use this new drone. This isn’t a sponsored Video and opinions are ours. Drone was supplied by DJI an at no point have they requested a video.

That being said now let’s get stuck into this!
DJI is sponsoring a series of events at RC Clubs throughout Australia and at the Victorian Event Thomas will be demoing this new Drone. Having said that we received it 8 days before the event. Activation was slowed down due to there not being any software available online.
We were provided with a special link and our DJI Email Account needed to be white listed so we could download and activate the FPV Drone. The delay in the process basically meant less time to get familiar with using it and obviously no online support at the time of making this video.
Having said that we were able to get the drone going and to our surprise it exceeded our expectations. I think it’s the sort of drone that will give more people access to FPV and hopefully help grow the hobby. We’ve already had a number of photographers etc get into FPV but it’s required a lot of commitment. This we feel will give people a taste of FPV without needing to build a drone and still achieve 90% of what’s possible.
This was filmed over a series of days and hence condition changes etc. Maiden was done on Normal Mode, Followed by Sports Mode and then Manual Mode.
Over the coming weeks we’ll do more with this drone and hopefully become even more familiar with the DJI FPV Combo.

Looks like a little baby Alien
First? 😛
No matter how much acro mode, it feels different from the existing racing drones.
?
I just jumped to this point in your video….. watched JBs and he broke it…
As expected..
Watching now Acro mode….
Edit: Not suitable for racing and definitely not for Freestyle.
Fantastic video’s!!!
Stupid I would never buy this. You Can’t fix it yourself. Look dumb. DJI Fail.. And it’s a tank. Looks like it fly’s like crap too.
How far the distance and high can it go?
So weird to see you fly slow
I really want to see it in real acro mode 🙂
Such an amazing fpv drone for beginners I am definitely getting one!! ?
Props in shot…hard no.
Flying brick lmao
Good review Thomas, I like your comparison a flying MacBook indeed. It does have its applications but not for everyone.
If I already have a mavic zoom, is this worth an upgrade?
Can I test it 🙂
Is it durable? How long will I be grounded if it breaks? Do they sell spares?
Sick follow footage. Nice vid.
Did you get the motion controller to review.
My coffee machine broke, this looks like a good replacement ?
How do the permits to fly FPV from Casa work? Do you need to get a permit for every flight or is it a one off kinda thing?
TalkUAV slammed it into a wall at 60 mph and it hovered straight away and only suffered two bent props, I’d say its pretty durable but obviously not as tough as a traditional fpv quad, great vid guys ?
Interesting. Keen to see how much more you can open it up. Being able to complete a full roll would be good….
Does has trucking mode as others?
Any full manual mode flippy floppy footage?
Superinnovative gear. Do not compare apples and pears! Thanks for sharing.
That flat-stick run looks a fair bit slower then a Phantom2 on Manual mode.
Plus Sized Cinewhoop comment does make sense.
This is probably the best review that I have seen. I thought that it was also really good that you did not bag the unit like a lot of people in the hobby have done. It definitely is going to get lots of people into the hobby and those that are keen will start to build and fly if they want to get serious.
Nice work guys
