A boring video. Using a DJI Phantom to find a lost Bixler RC plane was just one of the fun things we did on the last Sunday of Autumn 2019 here in Tokoroa New Zealand. Not too much to see here but join us anyway for a laid-back day at the airfield.

You guys need Stefaney to land them safely for you.
Geez. Drone my ass. It’s a Quadcopter ffs!
cause it will fly, everything will fly – given the right force and angle of attack
It’s not rich enough.. just thought I’d mention it
It’ll be a maiden – maiden China- absolute classic………… I’ll have to use that at the flightstrip. ?
Why does Ron cut the power – he should have just a little bit of prop spin surely (I’ll stop calling you shirley)
Never boring, and more fun than you can shake a stick at, ness your Tim with locked full throttle sticks.
runcams hawksky is too lean! listen to the scream as it takes off! WHERES THE SMOKE!!
Does every RC’r fly at an airfield in NZ?
They would never allow us to do that here
I dont see smoke. throw that engine.
A great day of flying, everything went home in one piece, and you found a lost plane 😉 With that kind of luck you better buy a lottery ticket! See you in the Air!
Did you see this Bruce
Hi Bruce. Thought you might like to read this?
I used my spark to try to find my champ a few days ago, but I wasn’t as successful as you
Did you say boring? Count me in!
Ron is the star of this video.
One of my buddies at our RC field had a plane fly away on him and land in a soybean field across the road, at which time one of the other guys fired up his DJI and flew over to try and find it. He hovered over the plane while I burrowed through the beans to the crash site. Turned out he’d found a different model entirely that none of us knew about. I ended up coming back with two lost planes. So, score two for DJI search and rescue! 😉
how can it be the last gasp of autumn 2019 when its not even summer 2019 yet when im watching this vid lol
“1k, that’s nearly a kilometre away” – that’s going to confuse our imperial friends!
