Paul Nurkkala a.k.a. Bulbufet is an aspiring drone racing pilot. Having flown for the better part of 2015, he has learned a great deal about the sport. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPCc4i_lIw-fW9oBXh6yTnw

Taking old miniquads and outfitting them with bare bones fpv flight with
old used parts makes for a solid kamikaze craft to address greedy corporate
delivery multirotors flying in the 200-400 foot space… somebody will do
it out of principle.
I fly well below the 200 foot range on average, but I don’t want that
option taken away.
DRL has a spec/standard quad. They are working on a level playing field.
AerialGP is standardizing the format- and looking at true grand prix and F1
style racing with pit stops and teams and pitting for bat changes and
similar.
MultiGP focuses on the individuals and offers a platform from the beginner
hobbyist up to top tier contenders… MGP is trying to grow smart with the
hobby/sport/interest
Other groups like DroneX have been here all along, and offered the best
organizing support at first. Never much interest in that group.
WDP has Dubai, but there is not any follow up with more races yet, if at
all. They seem to be really focused on getting video and offering big
money.
It is a wild west of mayhem right now… sort of fun watching it coalesce.
I should qualify that I represent AGP in the DC area and organize races
well outside the FRZ in the nation’s capitol.
if you are travelling lots with LiPos, i would maybe look at the TBS LiPo
bag
Lol, bulbufet looks a little different that last time I saw him
