FPV Racing Drone goes nuts indoors due to setup error
I have built 15+ FPV Racers, countless Rc Planes, 700 size Helicopters and have been a keen RC hobbyist since i was a teenager. But this was a wakeup call even for me when things do go wrong. I had just finished flashing my Flight Controller with a new firmware and then installed new esc’s but due to being tired as it was late at night i must have overlooked the receiver type in settings in cleanflight thinking that i had already set it to CPPM and decided to do a test flight inside. Due to incorrect setup the quadcopter when nuts inside the house. I was lucky that it did not end up coming towards me which would have resulted in some serious injuries.
Don’t think ill be testing any more FPV racers indoors 🙂
Fun stuff so long as nothing broke haha.
The Quad was perfectly fine except for one broken prop and the damage to
the ceiling :-). Flew it the very next day and that the second half of the
video 🙂 all working 100%. The frame is a BoltRc Bolt 210 made here in
Aus, by far BoltRc makes some of the best frames on the market.
