FPV Racing Drones Motorcross (07.29.2017) RE-UP
FPV Racing Drones & Motocross – Motocross is a form of off-road motorcycle racing held on enclosed off-road circuits. The sport evolved from motorcycle trials competitions held in the United Kingdom. We were invited by Bartow Motorsports Park to attend some practice rounds at their Motorsports complex with our FPV Racing Drones to record their runs. the Pilots for the FPV racing Drone footage is linked below, go follow them on their social media:
FPV drone racing (where FPV stands for first-person view or first person video) is a motorsport type where participants control “drones” (typically small radio-controlled aircraft or quadcopters), equipped with cameras while wearing head-mounted displays showing the live stream camera feed from the drones. Similar to full size air racing the goal is to complete a set course as quickly as possible. Drone racing began as an amateur sport in Australia in late 2014.

Fantastic combination of drone and GoPro footage! The racing drone is the *perfect* follow cam for motocrossing! No other way can you be right there cruising with the riders at speed. I love it, and I wish we’d had such gadgets back in my racing days. We barely even had cameras then. LOL
